Today was a great day as far as the mail is concerned. Normally there is nothing but junk mail and catalogs. Today’s mail brought me two advanced readers to read and review. One book is called “Beyond the Reflection’s Edge” by Bryan Davis and it looks really good. The other book is called “Mixed Bags” by Melody Carlson. I’m going to read and review “Beyond the Reflections Edge” and my daughter will read and review for me “Mixed Bags”. I can see that I’m going to be addicted to getting advanced readers! This looks like a lot of fun and with the summer coming I know I’ll have a lot of time on my hands to read and review books.
Another fun goodie that arrived today was a jar of Aveeno Positively Ageless Lifting and Firming Night Cream. I get to use and review this product too and I’m equally as psyched about it. With my 40th birthday coming up next month and my skin rapidly showing signs of aging (WRINKLES!) I’m thrilled to give this product a try. I have a few samples and coupons available if anyone is interested giving it a try too.

I have tried over and over again to get a blog up and running over the past two years. Blogging just makes perfect sense for me. I love to write, and what a better way to do that then to write my very own blog. Sounds easy doesn’t it? It’s not! For two years now I have tried to blog but I can just never get the blog to go the way I want it to. Why? I have no clue!
Just this week I have had the opportunity to explore many blogs on the Internet (about 900+ to be exact) and I am totally amazed at the incredibly wonderful blogs there are out there. I must have about a hundred of them bookmarked. The variety of blogs is amazing, everything from daily ramblings to articles about family and children, crafts, cooking, reviews and more. Now I am more psyched then ever to FINALLY get a blog up and running.
The reason I was able to find so many incredible blogs is through a site called Bloggy Giveaways. I honestly don’t even know how I came across that site but I’m sure glad I did. Each day they have a contest where you can win awesome prizes just by posting a comment. This week they are having a carnival and there are over 900+ blogs participating in this event. Each blog is giving away a fantastic prize. There are gift cards, cash, shoes, jewelry, coffee, crafts, baby items and so much more. I honestly think I have entered a comment for at least 600+ prizes. Needless to say my carpal tunnel is bothering me BIG TIME!
Even though the carnival is almost over they plan on having another one sometime in July. I plan on participating in that carnival event for sure! What an awesome way not only to win great prizes but also to get traffic to your blog. So hopefully by the time the next carnival comes around I would have FINALLY established the blog that I have been wanting to for over two years now.
