Spotless Paw Pet Glove

I’m not sure about other parts of the country but here in NY it’s been raining… A LOT! Personally I don’t mind, per say. It beats the alternative of hot and humid weather (I’m so NOT a summer person!). However with all the rain it means my dog is constantly coming back inside either soaked to the bone or with wet paws. Normally we keep a towel outside our front door to wipe him down. I always worry about making the outside of our door “messy”. We live in a condo and we have three other units on the top floor with us. Two of the three are for sale. I try to make sure the outside of our unit looks neat for their sake (who wants to buy into a messy condo building?). Unfortunately I don’t have any place INSIDE by the door to put the towel unless I leave it on the floor. Doing that just makes my home look messy and gives the dog free range to chew the towel up.

We now have the perfect solution to our dilemma. It’s called Spotless Paw. It’s an interesting glove that is made out of the highest quality microfiber known today. The microfiber fabric is a blend of 80% polyester and 20% polyamide. The weave and split of the fibers are woven and split in such a way that creates tiny microscopic “hooks” that attract and hold water, mud, dirt and grime like a magnet. The glove is huge so it fits even a man’s hand. It’s also soft to the touch.

A unique feature to the glove which we thought was very strange when we took it out of the box is that it has an extra finger! We thought it was a mistake at first until we read that the glove was designed with the extra finger making it easy for anyone to use it in their right or left hand. Great thinking! That way you don’t need two gloves and anyone can use the one glove.

Another great feature is the attached “hoop” on the glove which makes it perfect to hang on our door on the inside. It’s high enough so the dog won’t bother with it and it makes it very easy to reach for before letting our dog come back inside. It’s ideal!

The Spotless Paw works great! It really does seem to absorb a lot of the water. If our dog’s feet are just wet we simply put on the glove and “blot” his feet and the glove absorbs the water leaving his paws dry. Not 100% dry but better then a regular towel would.

Our dog rarely gets dirty so I cannot tell you how it works for mud and dirt. Yesterday my son dropped a Ravioli on our dog (who is white!). So he has a big red spot on him. I wasn’t going to use the glove for that (I didn’t want to stain it). We have used the glove to wipe him down when he gets caught in the rain. It does a great job drying him off so he’s not dripping wet and running around our home.

So far the Spotless Paw has done exactly what it claims to do and we are very pleased. It also doesn’t smell like “wet dog”, which we are grateful for. I was a bit worried that maybe it would smell after a few uses but so far it hasn’t. It’s also machine washable and you can put it in the dryer. Just don’t use fabric softener because it will damage the fibers.

To learn more about Spotless Paw please visit www.SpotlessPaw.com. It’s available online at their web site and places like Amazon and Orvis.

The above brief video tells you more about the Spotless Paw too.

Mix 1 Healthy Nutritious Drink Giveaway!

Wahoo!!!! I’m so excited to announce that the AWESOME people over at Mix 1 has offered to give a case of Mix 1 drinks (assorted flavors) to one lucky She Scribes reader. Thanks Mix 1!

I just reviewed the Mix 1 drinks yesterday. For those of you who might have missed my review you can CLICK HERE to read it, or just click on the “Mix 1 Review”.

Mix 1 is a healthy small meal replacement and nutritious snack option that is great for the whole family. My kids love the Mix 1 too! I feel GREAT letting my kids drink a bottle of Mix 1 when they are feeling a bit hungry in between meals then having them snack on cookies or chips. That is because I know that Mix 1 equals 3-9 servings of vegetables and fruits (depending on the drink…most are 3, the high antioxidant ones are 9). Best of all my kids don’t even realize they are drinking something that is healthy. My kids especially love it when I pout the Mix 1 in a blender with a handful of ice and make a yummy smoothie.

I love all of the drink flavors too. Even my very picky husband liked a few of them. I’m sure he’d like them all if he was a bit more open minded about trying new things.

To enter visit the Mix 1 web site at www.Mix1Life.com. Look around then come back here and answer these two questions. Please tell me something interesting that you learned about the Mix 1 drinks AND what flavor you’d really love to try.

Fortune Cookies Galore & Delicious Giveaway!

I am SO UPSET!!! I had given my husband a giant (and I do mean GIANT!) fortune cookie for Father’s Day. I took a video of it (prior to giving it to my husband) to use with my review and now I can’t find the video! I have looked on my Vado, my lap top and my desk top and I don’t see it! UGH!!!! So much for the video presentation of my review. I’m so upset! I wanted my readers to see the tremendous size of the giant fortune cookie and how adorable it looked with all the Father’s Day embellishments on them.
OK, since I don’t have the video to share with you (UGH!) I have to describe it for you.
For Father’s Day I gave my husband a GIANT fortune cookie from http://www.giant-fortune-cookies.com/. It was ENORMOUS! I knew it was going to be big, but WOW! It far exceeded my expectations are far as the size of it. The cookie was even dipped in yummy chocolate and covered in huge “sprinkles” and the most adorable Father’s Day embellishments including an edible hammer, drill, wrench and more. It was SO CUTE!
My husband and my kids couldn’t believe that it was a REAL fortune cookie. They kept thinking it was a joke because of it’s sheer size. They were even reluctant to try a piece (thinking it was a joke) until I ate a piece first (gladly! I love fortune cookies!). After they saw me down a couple of pieces they all jumped on the cookie like piranhas! I think within 5 minutes half of the cookie was gone.
The giant fortune cookie even had a personalized fortune on the inside that read “Happy Father’s Day”.

Later we used pieces of the fortune cookie in bowls of vanilla ice cream. Fortune cookies and ice cream go GREAT together! The next time you have a fortune cookie add it to a bowl of ice cream. It’s a match made in food heaven!
Giant fortune cookies are great for any occasion including birthday, anniversary, new baby, holidays and more! You can even create a special personalized message too. Even better send a giant fortune cookie to someone “just because”. What a “sweet” way to let someone know you are thinking of them.
To learn more please visit http://www.giant-fortune-cookies.com/.
The same people who make the giant fortune cookies also make gourmet flavored fortune cookies. Check them out at http://www.fancyfortunecookies.com/. I had the delicious opportunity to sample some of the flavors and they are SO GOOD! I had a chance to try mint, chocolate, cappuccino and of course the classic fortune cookie flavor. They were all yummy, but my favorite is cappuccino. DELISH! Even the flavored fortune cookies go great in ice cream.
What I love about the Fancy Fortune Cookies is that you can have the message inside personalized. They would make GREAT favors at a birthday party, wedding, anniversary or even use them as a fun way to market your business. I’m going to look into ordering some for my son’s birthday in September. He has a hard time making friends and he’s going to a new school. I think handing out personalized fortune cookies would be a fun way to “break the ice” with his new classmates.

Fun Web Site – Give Yourself a Virtual Make Over!

I thought I’d share this really fun web site with you. It’s called Taaz (http://www.taaz.com/). You can sign up for FREE then upload a photo of yourself and play around with eye make up, lip stick, hair styles and more. I had a lot of fun fooling around with this.

This picture if the one I uploaded and played around with (I have no lips!). I messed up on the colored contact option that is why my eyes look weird. That is not my hair either.

I had to give myself MORE of a make over then what I did on Taaz because I have a fat neck and I hate it. So I erased my neck and cropped the head onto a turtleneck sweater. Ha Ha!

So yeah, that is SORT of me. Except my eyes are gray (not the funky color they are in the Taaz make over image). My hair is a strawberry blond and wavy. I rarely ever wear eye make up like this! And of course I have a fat neck. Ha Ha.

Have fun with it. I plan on taking a better picture of myself to use with this.
