Ahhh… I’m back! Back to my regular blogging. Thanks to all of you for understanding that I wanted to enjoy our mini-vacation with my family. I wish we could have done more. Now it’s back to the same old stuff. Hopefully my husband can take a few days off next month too, that is, depending on the job situation. He might be laid off by then in which case vacation time won’t matter.
I’m still dreaming of our day at the beach. It was so perfect all around between the beach, the weather, the cool breeze off the ocean. Ahh… it was PERFECT!
While our kids were playing in the sand my daughter tried in vain to write her name in the sand but every time she got about 1/2 way done (and her name is not that long) the wave would come up and wash it away. The waves were pretty far reaching that day and as you know it’s harder to write your name in dry sand. Wet sand just makes it look so much better.
There is a delightful company called Nature’s Notebook who does the writing for you, as well as takes a beautiful photograph for a keepsake. They can write whatever you want in the sand on the beach and take a photo of it. They can even put the image on canvas and frame it for a one of a kind gift.
Nature’s Notebook offers beautiful prints for any occasion. My favorite are the prints with the two names. I am going to get that for my niece for her wedding in October. I think that would be a gorgeous gift to have her name and her new spouse’s name on a canvas print with the beautiful ocean background. They also offer the option of having the print framed too.
I’m a freelance photographer and I can honestly say that in a million years I doubt I could take pictures as breathtaking as the prints at Nature’s Notebook. They know how to capture the moment just before the waves wash away the names. I know from personal experience at the beach last week that it’s very hard to do. Especially on a public beach where you have no control over people walking by and messing up the moment.
Prints from Nature’s Notebook would make a great gift for anyone including wedding, anniversary, a new baby, graduation and many other possibilities. They offer some beautiful religious prints including the words “Faith” and “Strength”.
One of my favorites is the four prints (horizontal) that ready “Dreams Come True” with the cute star at the end. I love that one!
The prints are offered in both colored and black and white. Personally I like the colored prints because there is nothing more beautiful then the blue sky and water and the sparkly sandy beach. I know some people prefer the black and white because it has more of a classy and romantic feel to it.
The small prints (4″ x 6″) unframed are only $20 and they come on superior quality photo paper. You can pick up a frame at any store. The professionally framed prints and the canvas prints will cost over $100, which is really not so bad when you think about how unique the print would be.
You can even create your own saying for the beach print too!
