Disney’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Giveaway #1

This is a first for me here at She Scribes. I’m am hosting two different giveaways for the same “product”, although in this case it’s not a product but rather an awesome new movie coming to theaters on July 14, 2010 – The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice stars Nicholas Cage as Balthazar Blake, a modern day master sorcerer living in Manhattan. Balthazar needs to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Maxim Horvath and Balthazar have been fighting for years. Harvath has become an ally of the wicked Morgana, who murdered the master sorcerer Merlin and is seeking to conquer the world with her minions.

Balthazar realizes that he cannot fight Horvath and Morgana on his own so he seeks the assistance of an apprentice name Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), an average guy as his reluctant protégé. Balthazar give Stutler a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness, Horvath and Morgana.

I have seen the previews for this movie and it looks awesome! Just the special effects alone are enough to blow you away.

Check out this great clip on how they took a infamous scene from Fantasia and incorporated it into The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

For this giveaway the winner will receive this super cool pocket plasma disc. I have not seen this in person but I heard that they light up and sync to sound.

This giveaway is open to US residents only and will end on July 6, 2010 at 11:59 PM (EST). The winner will be chosen at random using a random number generator from all eligible entries. The winner will be contacted by e-mail and will have three days to reply with a name and mailing address (no PO Box) or a new winner will be chosen.
