My 13 year old daughter was going to write this review for me but she slept over her friend’s house last night and probably won’t be home until this afternoon. She did tell me what she would write if I did let her write this review. As per my daughter she would have written 100 times…
THANK YOU DAVID’S COOKIES! PLEASE SEND MORE!
LOL! Some how I don’t think that qualifies as a good enough review.
I was contacted by David’s Cookies to see if I was interested in reviewing them. Ha! Such a silly question. Who in their right mind would turn down freshly made cookies? Yes, I am on Nutrisystem and to be honest with you I was VERY good having these cookies in my home. I did take BITES of the different flavors just to sample them but I only ate one whole cookie. The rest of the cookies were devoured by my family, especially my daughter.
David’s Cookies sent us a 2 pound tin containing a variety of their different cookies. The cookies were packaged in different layers and wrapped with bubble wrap for extra protection.
There was a note in with the cookies that said you had to consume them within 48 hours after receiving them or else they would need to be put in the freezer. Ha! There was no way these cookies would ever see the inside of the freezer. Poor things, they never had a chance. Ha Ha. I did however keep them in the fridge because it’s been so hot and humid that I didn’t want the chocolate to melt.
I removed the cookies from the different layers. I figured it made it easier to find what you were looking for that way.
My daughter was the first to try them. She took an M&M cookie and a sugar cookie. The crumbs on her dish are from her lunch, not the cookies.
As you can see they are nice sized cookies. That is a regular size dinner plate that she was using for lunch.
The one cookie I ate was their oatmeal raisin cookie. I love oatmeal raisin cookies but this cookie from David’s Cookies was hands down THE BEST oat meal raisin cookie I have ever tasted. My sister is an amazing baker and bakes awesome cookies but I have NEVER tasted an oatmeal raisin cookie THAT GOOD before. I actually fished out the other oatmeal raisin cookies (there were 2 more) and put them in the freezer. There was no way I was sharing those. LOL!
The thing about David’s Cookies are that they are made fresh to order. They are just like the kind Grandma used to make, with the exception that they are not warmed from the oven when you receive them (although I suppose you could warm them in the microwave for a few seconds).
The variety tin (which is what we received) contained a great assortment of cookies so that everyone could find one or two favorites (or three, four, five…). My family inhaled them so quickly but I know we had (notice I said “HAD”) Ginger Molasses (they were equally as delish as the oatmeal raisin!), chocolate chip, coconut pecan, double chocolate chunk, sugar, M&M, peanut butter (it was perfect – it was not too “peanut buttery” at all) and a few others.
I did try BITES (as in ONE bite) of some of the other flavors just so I can get a good idea of how they tasted for this review. To be honest with you they were all mouth-watering good. I couldn’t get over how fresh they tasted. They even looked home made. Store bought cookies always look “perfect” as far as shape and size. Home made cookies come in different shapes and sizes. All the cookies from David’s Cookies were a nice size but you can see that they were home made because they all looked different.
My daughter is ADDICTED to those cookies. I am being 100% honest (as I always am in my reviews) that my daughter must have told me a dozen times to “Please thank David for his cookies“. I think she thinks they came from a person, not from a company. She was IN LOVE with those cookies! My son had a couple and my husband had some too. I think our daughter consumed most of them. I’m surprised she didn’t gain weight. Thank goodness she’s active.
David’s Cookies do not contain preservatives. That is why you “need” (ha!) to enjoy them within 48 hours after receiving them or else freeze the remainder.
The 2-pound tin contains about 2 dozen large cookies and sell for $33.95 and FREE SHIPPING! David’s Cookies also carries brownies, cakes, cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries and more sweet treats. They even have a Cookie of the Month Club! Oh! Can you imagine getting that as a gift? NICE!!!
