I love to take pictures. Next to writing, photography is another great passion of mine. My dream is the have a professional quality camera. I don’t think I would ever be home if I had a professional quality camera. I would be out all day long looking for things to take pictures of.
Most of my pictures I leave untouched and “as is”. Sometimes I do like to take certain photos and “jazz” them up a bit by tweaking the colors, cropping something out, or a variety of other options.
I love to play around with various graphics programs when it comes to my photos. Sometimes I feel like a photo just needs a little something “extra” to make it look better or more unique.
Here are a few examples of photos I have taken to show you what I mean.
As you can see I certainly have fun tweaking my photos. The ones shown above are much better then the originals.
I have been working with photos and graphics for many years now. I know a thing or two about working with editing programs and software. For others, like my husband, its a bit harder to tweak a photo because you are unfamiliar with how to use the various programs available. Even though I do know what to do I often wish there was an easier way to achieve the effect I am after with just the click of a button.
If you are looking for a way to make your photos go from “Oh, that’s nice” to “OH WOW! Awesome!” then you should look into the online photo editing program called Be Funky.
BeFunky is an online photo editing program that allows you to alter the look of your photos as easy as pressing a button. You do not need to know how to work with editing programs or have any prior computer knowledge. BeFunky is so simple to use that even a 5 year old could edit photos that look like a professional had done it.
Unlike similar photo editing website programs, BeFunky offers a huge array of styles. For example, they do not offer just one option for “Grunge” but rather they have 13 Grunge options. They also have 8 different Oil Painting options. Some other styles include Cartoonizer, Charcoal, Impressionistic, Sun Burst and Pop Art. In total there are over two dozen different image styles, and most of those are at least a few different styles within that category.
Here are some examples of photos I created with the BeFunky program.
These images didn’t take me long to do at all. Most of them were as simple as selecting a button and clicking on it. When you compare these photos (above) to the ones I spent a while tweaking, sometimes house, featured at the beginning of this post you’ll see that the BeFunky program works a lot like expensive, hard to figure out editing programs.
BeFunky also has basic editing options, stickers (graphics you can add to the pictures), frames, text and just about everything else you can think of.
I like the ease of this program. To me that is the biggest selling point – that anyone can do it no matter what your skill level is.
You also do not need to run out and purchase expensive software to use BeFunky. You can use it for FREE, however not all the features are available to you under the FREE content. You can subscribe to their service for $4.95 per month or $24.95 for a whole year (a much better option then monthly). The monthly option would be good if you only want to do a few photos. If you like to tweak your photos year round then the yearly plan is a much better option.
Over all I am very pleased with the whole program. It is fun to use as well as very easy. I also love that they offer you FREE options, monthly and yearly billing too.
