Tic Tac Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I have to admit that when I am at the check out line in the grocery store I try and put up “blinders” so that I can’t see the delicious candies staring back at me.

I never knew up until now that Tic Tacs put out a special edition Pink Tic Tac in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This special pink Tic Tac was created to help raise awareness and support for those affected by a Cancer diagnosis.

I cannot imagine having to deal with something lik Breast Cancer, including things like chemo, breast augmentation and just the whole stress of knowing you have such a dreadful disease.

The pink Tic Tac is Pink Grapefruit flavored. I love the taste and scent of Pink Grapefruit. I just had to try this flavor out. WOW! It really does taste exactly like Pink Grapefruit. It packs a bit of a “punch” too. It really does wake up your taste buds. Its so flavorful that you only need one little piece to fill your mouth with flavor. I know its tempting to take more then one Tic Tac at a time (admit it…we all do it at times) but with the Pink Grapefruit flavor you can really get by with just one tiny piece.

This very special limited edition Pink Grapefruit Tic Tac is available only August through October. The special color and flavor is part of the Tic Tac brand’s ongoing support of CancerCare, a national organization focused on providing support for people affected by cancer, including caregivers, loved ones and the bereaved.

In 2009, CancerCareprovided direct services to more than 117,000 people in 92% of U.S. counties.  This year, Tic Tac will donate $100,000 to CancerCare, as part of its commitment to the cause.

Tic Tac has also launched its official Facebook page to encourage fans to Shake, Share & Care by posting about how they have helped someone affected by cancer to help the brand reach its goal of an additional $100,000 donation to the organization.  Fans are encouraged to visit www.facebook.com/tictacusa and share their acts of caring.

That is a very generous donation. I hope that all my readers will check out Tic Tacs Facebook page to help raise funds for this very special cause. If you are a Breast Cancer patient, survivor, or loved one I think it would be a great way to connect with others who know exactly what you are going through too.

Please remember that Breast Cancer can affect anyone, no matter what your age, health or gender is (men get Breast Cancer too!). Its vital that you check yourself monthly and go for regular Mammograms. Do it for yourself and for the ones you love and who love you too.
