Knock Knock (Giveaway)

Whose there?

Sorry. I couldn’t resist. With a company name Knock Knock its hard not to think about Knock Knock jokes.

Knock Knock is a company that offers funny and entertaining products for your office, both at work and at home. Let’s face it. The office is not always the most amusing place to be. Most days its so painfully boring that counting the tiles on the ceiling is the highlight of your day. With products found on the Knock Knock website you can find some fun ways to amuse yourself and your co-workers.

A few products might be a big risque. My apologies if that offends anyone. You know I like to keep my site “G” rated.

To give you an example of what I am talking about, check out these folders you can purchase from Knock Knock.

Or how about these funny memo pads. I love the Twitter one. That is so funny, especially for those addicted to Twitter.

I don’t recommend that your boss sees you playing around with fun office products from Knock Knock, unless your boss has a sense of humor.

My husband works in an office. Thankfully his boss and co-workers do have  a sense of humor. I have purchased a few things for him in the past that helped make his day at work a bit more light hearted and fun.

Knock Knock offers amusing products for both your work and home office. No one says you have to keep it “G rated” when you are working from home. Trust me, there are a few interesting  products offered at Knock Knock that are not suitable for the work office, but are just fine for home use.

Speaking of home use, the products sold on the Knock Knock site are NOT just for the office environment. They are great to help you around the house too. They have several products that are ideal for organizing. I know that many people use getting organized as one of their New Year’s resolutions.

Knock Knock sent me a great product to review that not only helps to keep track of the books I loan out to people, but has also encouraged my non-book-loving son to appreciate books more.

Knock Knock sent me the coolest way to keep track of my books, just like they do at the library. I was sent the Personal Library Kit. I don’t know who was more excited about it, me or the kids? I often lend books to people, often forgetting who has what book and how long they’ve had it for. Most books I am happy to pass on as long as I know they will be taken care of and appreciated. Other books I want to keep for various reasons. Its those books that I need to keep track of. This is where the Personal Library Kit comes in handy.

The Personal Library Kit has everything you need to set up your own mini-library. You get the pockets that attach to the inside cover (or back cover) of the book, the inserts that you can put the date on as well as have people sign, a stamp (for the date) and an ink pad.

Before the libraries started to use codes and computers to lend out books we had to have the little card stamped with the due date that slipped into that little pocket. I remember those days! My kids barely remember because even at school they use codes and computers to check books in and out.

My son LOVED this idea and right away started to play “library”. I asked him not to use up all the supplies because I had a few books I wanted to put the cards and pockets in. To be honest I don’t remember which books he used them in. I know one was a Hardy Boys book, but we have about a dozen of them.

My son kept wanting us to check out books from HIS library. It was funny. He was so serious about the penalties too if we didn’t return the book to him in a few days. He was going to charge $5 a day for a late fee. LOL!

I’m not sure if I would recommend the Personal Library Kit from Knock Knock for a child. It only comes with 20 cards/pockets. Unless you want to print out extra cards and create some other kind of pocket (perhaps an envelope?). You can buy refill kits (thankfully) but for a child who wants to turn their entire collection of books into a library that could be costly.

For adults this is a great idea, especially if you have some precious or valuable books you’d like to see returned to you.

Knock Knock also sent me some cool pads. One pad is a very handy “Pack This” pad. It provides you with a check list of the things that most people take on trips with them. Sadly I haven’t been on a trip where I had to pack in about 7 years. However my Father and Step-mother travel a lot. I plan on giving the pad to them when I see them. I have heard them complain many times about forgetting to pack something so I think this would come in super handy for them.

The Planning the Menu pad has been helpful to me because often I draw a total blank when it comes to meal planning for the week. The pad is set up to help you plot out 3 different dishes.  I actually use them for three different days. For example, on “Dish 1″ I might have “Monday” and there I will list what I plan on making and on the Ingredient side I write down the ingredients I’ll need to make that meal. That way I have an idea what I need when I go shopping. There is nothing worst then planning to prepare something only to find out you are missing an ingredient or two.
