There are so many cereals on the market that it can make your head spin. In my opinion most of the cereals available are just bowls of candy. I wish someone would be honest and put out a cereal called Candy Cereal because frankly that is what it really is.
Not all cereals are that bad. There are plenty of healthy options available to you.
There is a brand of cereal on the market that I truly think is one of the best. It’s Cheerios. Cheerios is great for the entire family, including toddlers.
I never had Cheerios when I was growing up. The first time I had Cheerios is when my daughter was a toddler and the pediatrician suggested we give her some Cheerios to snack on. My daughter and I literally started enjoying Cheerios at the same time.
Cheerios is a healthy cereal. It’s made with 100% whole grain oats. Oats have been shown to reduce the “bad cholesterol” in your body. Cheerios also contain no cholesterol, they are low in fat and calories and contain vitamins and nutrients.
My favorite thing about Cheerios is the variety that is available. My all time favorite is Honey Nut Cheerios. I eat that usually a couple of times per week. I also love the Chocolate Cheerios, Berry Burst Cheerios and Frosted Cheerios.
Cheerios are not only great for breakfast but they are also a satisfying snack food too. I like to eat a bowl of Cheerios as a late night snack. My family also uses Cheerios to top off ice cream and yogurt. Mmm! You should try it some time. It’s really good, especially on ice cream.
There is a new flavor of Cheerios soon to hit the market. It’s Cinnamon Burst Cheerios.
I love Cinnamon so I was really excited when I was sent a sample of the cereal to try out for myself.
I thought the Cinnamon Burst Cheerios was pretty good. It’s not going to be one of my top three favorite Cheerio flavors, but it was still good. I think it needs a bit more Cinnamon. It’s sweet but not as sweet as I expected it would be.
It was a toss up with my family. My husband didn’t like it, my daughter said it was OK and my son liked it. My husband and my daughter are very picky. My husband is also not keen on Cinnamon so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it or not.
My Blog Spark sent me a box of Cinnamon Burst Cheerios and a Flip camera to make a commercial or jingle about Cinnamon Burst Cheerios. I DID write a jingle but I don’t have the nerve to get in front of the camera. I begged my kids to do it for me, even going so far as to bribe them to help me out (LOL) but they wouldn’t do it. They felt it was silly and they didn’t want me posting the video on my blog or YouTube for everyone to see. Ugh!
I can at least share the jingle with my readers. I hope you like it.
Cinnamon Burst Cheerios are delightfully sweet.
This is my new favorite cereal to eat.
My body is very deserving,
of 8 grams of whole grains per serving.
It is low in fat,
unlike my cat.
Cinnamon Burst is naturally cholesterol free.
I know that this is a better choice for me.
Jump start your day,
in a better way,
with a bowl of Cinnamon Burst Cheerios
and not a handful of Oreos.
OK, I know it’s a bit corny but I thought it turned out pretty good. I pictured having my kids sitting at the table with a bowl of the cereal in front of them with big smiles on their faces taking turns reading this poem. Too bad it didn’t work out that way. I even have the Flip cam so I was ready to start filming. Who knows. Maybe down the line they will give in to me and let me make this “commercial”.
Cinnamon Burst Cheerios will be hitting store shelves in the near future.
