Have you ever noticed that dusting is a lot like shoveling during a blizzard? No sooner do you get one place cleared off another part has piled up with dust (or snow)? Then when you clear off that spot, the spot you just cleared off previously is covered again? It’s life’s little cruel joke (ha ha).
Where I live dust is every where. Having four cats, one dog and four people in a tiny space doesn’t help either. Dust is made up of dead skin cells (gross!), pet dander and various little particles of dirt, pollen and who knows what else. Our condo also faces the parking lot. I have noticed when my windows are open we get more dust in our home. That is because the cars that go zipping by in front of our condo kick up dirt and debris which some how makes its way into our home. The trees filled with pollen in front of our condo don’t help matters any.
I am not a fan of cleaning, so the quicker and more efficiently I can get the cleaning done the happier I am. That is why I keep Swiffer Dusters on hand as part of my cleaning arsenal. The 360 dusters allow me to quickly dust many areas at the same time. I am able to maneuver in between the blinds, all the way around all the knick knacks on our shelves and get in between the small crevasses between the books on the bookcase. The 360 dusters has dusting fibers all the way around it (thus the reason why it’s called a 360 duster). That means it has dusting capabilities on the top, bottom and sides.
What I like best about the Swiffer 360 Duster is that it makes cleaning quicker and easier. I am able to run the duster around my home as I am talking on the phone. If when I’m in a hurry and need to “spot clean” the Swiffer Duster helps me to dust the surfaces in the room quickly and with minimal effort.
My favorite accessory for the Swiffer Duster is the extended handle (available as a separate purchase). The extended handle is not as easy to come by as it once was, but there are still a few retailers that carry it (note to Swiffer – PLEASE make the extended handle more readily available). My extended handle was accidentally broken (my son stepped on it by accident). The extended handle allowed me to dust places I can’t normally reach like all around picture frames on the wall, lights, the ceiling fans, the walls and in the corners of the room. For someone who is “vertically challenged” (aka – short) like me, I need all the help I can get.
Swiffer is giving away 25,000 Swiffer 360 Kits on their Facebook page each week for the entire month of May starting today (May 10, 2011). Simply “like” Swiffer on Facebook, www.Facebook.com/Swiffer, and then watch their status updates for how you can get a FREE kit.

I love the Swiffer Dusters! They are so convenient and helpful. I like that the dust really sticks to them, unlike conventional dusters which just kind of kick the dust back into the air.
