Make your Halloween Spooky and Sweet with Hershey’s (Giveaway!)

Halloween is a time of scary movies, creepy Halloween costumes and playing tricks on your neighbor. It’s also a great time to host holiday parties for family and friends. Personally I have never been invited to a Halloween party but I have always dreamed of hosting one of my own.

I love to decorate and create unique treats to serve to my guests. For example, one Christmas when I decided to make a Christmas “scene” cake. I went so far as to dress Teddy Graham cookies with outfits. The scene I created on my cake was the Teddy Graham’s ice skating. I even decorated ice cream cones and turned them into Christmas trees. Too bad a near by florescent light bulb broke sending shards of glass all over my cake. Sigh…

I would love to create spooky and sweet treats for my family and friends. I find great inspiration on the www.CelebrateWithHersheys.com website. This fantastic website is a great year round resource for recipes, crafts and other fun stuff. Currently they are showcasing delicious recipes and fun crafts, many of which are created with Hershey products.

I love the Peanut Butter Pumpkin Spider treats made with a Reese’s Peanut Butter Halloween Chocolate Pumpkin and some pretzels. They look really easy to make and I think they would be fun to serve at a Halloween party either in your home or your child’s classroom.

The Graveyard Pumpkin Patch Cake would be fun to make with your family.I think young children would have a fun time decorating the pumpkin patch with various Hershey’s Halloween candies. The scarecrows are darling!

The Celebrate with Hershey’s website doesn’t only offer kid friendly recipes. They also have recipes that you would be proud to serve at a grown-up get together. It’s hard to believe these gourmet quality recipes are made with Hershey’s products.

How would you like to serve up a Reece’s Marble Cheesecake, made with Hershey’s Cocoa and Hershey’s Peanut Butter Chips. Or maybe offer a slice of Pumpkin Bread along side a delicious holiday meal.

The Hershey’s website is not only about mouth-watering recipes. They also offer some fun and easy to make crafts, many of which utilize a variety of popular Hershey’s products.

I love the Book of Spells Candy Dish craft idea. I think my kids would have fun making up several boxes/books. I’m sure they can come up with some unique book titles. They could use the boxes to store knick knacks and trinkets, not to mention their Halloween candy.

The Hershey’s Creepy Creatures craft idea would be fun to make in a classroom setting. It would be interesting to see what kinds of creatures children could come up with.

There are plenty of other non-Hershey candy craft ideas including a variety of homemade Halloween costume ideas.

There is so much more to find on the Celebrate with Hershey’s website including How to videos, spooky screen savers, desktop wallpapers, party invitations and more!

Check them all out at www.CelebratewithHersheys.com.

While you are checking out the site don’t forget to check out all the yummy Hershey’s Halloween candy that is currently available for the season. My favorite is the jumbo size bags filled with my favorite Hershey’s chocolates like Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, York Peppermint Patties, and milk chocolate bars.

I love how they took the time to decorate each candy wrapper with a Halloween theme.

My kids LOVE the orange cream KitKats that are only available during the Halloween season. My husband LOVES KitKats but he can’t bring himself to eat the orange ones. They don’t taste like orange (they are creamy like white chocolate) but in his mind they seem like they would and he can’t bring himself to eat them. LOL! That’s OK. I’m sure my kids will be happy to gobble them up.

I love the snack size bars that are shaped like tombstones. These are the ones that are used in the Pumpkin Patch cake recipe I posted towards the beginning of this post. They are cool. I think you can even use one stuffed into a cupcake as a decoration too – sort of a lone tombstone on a hill (cupcake).

Of course one of my favorites are Reece’s Peanut Butter cups. For Halloween they offer a variety of sizes from the small snack size to the jumbo package. Yummy!

Of course having all this mouth-watering candy in my home is not easy. I am so tempted to grab a piece of candy every time I step into the kitchen. But I’ll be a good girl and remain strong. Although it’s nice to have a snack size piece of candy on hand. Sometimes you just need a little sweet treat throughout the day.
