If you are a regular She Scribes reader you’ll know that I enjoy both holiday movies and movies about pets and animals. It’s even better if it’s a holiday movie about animals.
I recently had the opportunity to watch a new movie that is released TODAY (November 8, 2011) called Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure. Many people might remember the Beethoven movies. Beethoven is that extra large, lovable, slobbering St. Bernard who has stared in many movies. With Beethoven’s newest adventure he has to help a Christmas Elf to save Christmas.
Here is the movie’s trailer.
In Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure we meet a young boy name Mason (played by Munro Chambers from Degrassi: The Next Generation). He is trying to raise money to help purchase a game that his mother won’t get for him for Christmas. His mother, Christine, is a single parent after her husband passed away a year earlier. She tends to work too much as her way of dealing with her loss and the pain.
One of Christine’s newest clients is the world’s most popular dog, Beethoven. She is in charge of him during the holiday season while they work on a special campaign with the ASPCA.
One afternoon Christine leaves Beethoven in the car of Mason. Mason sees that as a money making opportunity (he sells pictures of Beethoven for $5.00 each), that is until Beethoven runs off. Unbeknown to Mason, Beethoven had seen something unusual race across the sky – a Christmas Elf in Santa’s sled!
Henry (played by Kyle Massey of That’s so Raven and Dancing with the Stars), one of Santa’s Elves, had accidentally fell into Santa’s sled and it took off with him and Santa’s magic toy sack inside. Henry accidentally knocked the magic toy sack out of the sled and it fell somewhere in town.
Mason and Beethoven meet up with Henry and Henry enlists their help in finding Santa’s magic toy sack before it’s too late. Christmas is only three days away and without the sack Santa will be unable to deliver toys to boys and girls around the world.
Meanwhile, across town, Santa’s magic toy sack has come into the possession of a crook name Smirch and his silly side kick, Kenny (Booger from Revenge of the Nerds).
Will Beethoven and Mason be able to help Henry to find Santa’s magic toy sack before it’s too late? You’ll just have to pick up a copy of the movie to find out for yourself.
Look for Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure where ever movies are sold.
I thought it was a cute movie. My whole family enjoyed it. It was a little predicable in parts, but none the less an entertaining movie for the entire family.
Unlike other Beethoven movies, Beethoven talks in this film (voiced by Tom Arnold).
Make sure you check out the bonus section for deleted scenes and bloopers. There is also a Christmas carol sung by the whole cast, but in a goofy way.
Be sure to add Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure to your family’s holiday movie collection.
Click on the image below to get a $3.00 coupon on the purchase of the movie.
In addition to the coupon you can also download a FREE holiday screen saver staring Beethoven and other adorable pups.
You can find the screen saver here, http://bit.ly/DogScreensaver.
To use simply download the screen saver you want (there are two – I prefer the one with the pop up pups), unzip the file and install.
My cats go crazy over the screen saver. They recognize that there are dogs on my computer screen and they have no idea what to make of it. LOL!
If you would like to learn more about the movie visit the official Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/BeethovenMovies.
I have a copy of the movie, Beethoven’s Christmas Adventure, that I can give to TWO lucky readers (one copy per winner), compliments of Universal Home Entertainment.
