The Muppets Road Trip Game – Fun for Holiday Travels!

Many families will be packing up their cars and heading to Grandma’s house (or another family member) for Thanksgiving dinner. Sometimes you only have to travel around the corner. Other times you have to trek across the state or drive for many hours.

When you are traveling with children you know that a long car trip and be pure torture, not only for them but also for YOU (Are we there yet? I’m bored. I have to go to the bathroom...).

Many years ago (Stone Age) when I was 5 years old my family drove from New York to Disney World. I drove my father NUTS the entire drive down that he put me and my sister on a plane and sent us home to our grandparents when he and mom drove back. :-)

Here is a unique idea for a road trip game inspired but the soon-t0-be-released Muppet movie (November 23, 2011).

In The Muppets, Kermit joins Walter, Gary (Jason Segel), Mary (Amy Adams) and eventually the whole Muppet gang in the car for a trip of their own, as they endeavor to save Muppet Studios from evil oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper). So don’t despair. The Muppets can help keep kids busy and happy with…Disney’s The Muppets Road Trip Game!

See if you can spot the following;

-  5 Kermit Green cars.

-  1 person who looks like he/she could be a relative of Gonzo’s.

-  3 people who look like they just stepped off the Electric Mayhem Band bus.

-  4 Miss Piggy fans. How can you tell? Easy! He/She might be singing to themselves, fixing their hair in the mirror, blowing kissed to you out the window or blowing kisses to THEMSELVES in the mirror.

-  2 bumper stickers that are so funny that Fozzie Bear would want to add them to his act.

-  4 people wearing suits they stole from Waldorf and Statler.

-  3 cars that are so patriotic that Sam the Eagle might be seen driving them.

Here are some fun Bonus tasks you can do.

-  Sing the chorus of “Mahna Mahna” or “Rainbow Connection” at a red light or while driving through a tunnel.

-  Find a license plate from Smalltown, USA (or at least one that is red, white and blue).

-  Find the letters of Disney’s “The Muppets” in license plates (T-H-E M-U-P-P-E-T-S).

The Muppet movie opens next week. We already have our tickets (we pre-purchased them). I’m so excited! I can’t wait.

    I think number 4 would be the funniest one to see. I love looking at other people when they’re in their cars. You see some funny stuff that way
