As a mom I like to know that my kids are getting enough vitamins and nutrients in their diets to stay healthy. Sometimes that is easier said then done. Kids can be very picky eaters.
I encourage my children to take a vitamin each day, in hopes that it helps to cover anything their diet might be lacking. Even parents with the best intentions might not always succeed in getting their children to get everything their bodies need each and every day.
My kids have gone through a variety of vitamins. Some are animal shaped, others are shaped like people. Some are fruity, some are not. My kids love some of them and others they won’t try again. It’s really a hit or miss sort of thing.
To Go Brands has a very unique way to get your kids to take their vitamins. They are called Vita Rocks and they are unlike anything you have ever seen.
Vita Rocks are a dietary supplement that is available in different flavors (Cherry Blast and Lemon Burst). Each packet contains 23 calories, 5 grams of sugar and 6 carbohydrates. They are also packed with 50% of many essential vitamins like A, C, D, E, B12, Calcium, Zinc and Magnesium, to name a few. What sets these apart from other vitamin supplements your children might take is that Vita Rocks POP in your mouth.
If you are around my age (40 something) you probably remember when Pop Rocks were all the rage. I do believe they are still available, but they are not as popular as they were many years ago.
When you put the Vita Rocks “rocks” into your mouth they literally crackle and pop in your mouth, just like Pop Rocks, with the big exception being that the Vita Rocks are supplying your child with up to 50% of essential vitamins. It is recommended that your child have two packages per day for 100% of their essential vitamins (morning and afternoon is fine or what ever time is more convenient).
Vita Rocks are processed with Co2 (which is harmless) which cause them to crackle and pop when they get hydrated by the saliva in your mouth.
I personally didn’t try them but my kids did. They love Vita Rocks. In fact it’s the first thing they would grab for in the morning before they had breakfast. It’s as if they couldn’t wait to have them. A few times they asked if they could have another packet, which I had to turn down because the serving size is one packet per day.
Unlike Gummy vitamins the Vita Rocks won’t stick to your teeth.
Vita Rocks are made by the To Go Brands. To Go Brands offers a variety of other products for every member of your house hold. Some other products include:
Acai Natural Energy Boost Chews – These sweet little chews are made with Acai Berries. One serving (2 chews) provide the same amount of antioxidants that are in one serving of fruit. They are also loaded with B vitamins which are known to provide you with natural energy, unlike those energy shots are energy drinks.
I wasn’t really fond of the taste of these and first. It took a few times before the taste grew on me. Even before I was “OK” with the taste I was taking two chews daily because I am actually B12 deficient and require B12 shots. I figured these were a less painful way to get some much needed B vitamins in my body. One serving (2 chews) also contains 50% of the Vitamin C that your body needs. I don’t always drink Orange Juice so I need to find other ways to get Vitamin C in my body, especially this time of year when people tend to catch a lot of colds and other ailments.
I really didn’t notice any change in my energy taking these chews. I’m OK with that since I was taking them more so for the Vitamins B & C.
Go Greens SuperFruits & Veggies – I really liked this drink mix. It had a pleasant apple taste to it. Each packet of the Go Greens SuperFruits & Veggies. Each package is made with 15 certified organic fruits and vegetables. Just one packet has the antioxidant power of 6 servings of fruits and veggies.
I’ll admit that I don’t get nearly as much fruits and veggies in my diet like I should. Nor do my kids (try as I might). Since I drink a lot of water every day it’s very easy for me to use the Go Greens SuperFruist & Veggies drink mix. I don’t have to do anything different then I normally do. Plus there is no measuring involved. Simply pour the contents of the packet into a bottle of water (re-usable water bottle or regular water bottle), give it a little shake to mix the powder up and enjoy.
The packets are portable so you can tuck some inside your purse, glove compartment or desk drawer at work. One packet is actually equal to TWO servings, so please keep that in mind when you are enjoying it.
Trim Energy – I have yet to notice much of a difference with the Trim Energy drink packets. It’s possible that the stress of my Dad having been recently diagnosed with Dementia, right after being in the hospital recovering from a serious fall, might have something to do with it. I’m stressed to the max. Trim Energy is suppose to help with stress but it’s possible I’m just TOO stressed out for it to work effectively. When I’m stressed I also tend to eat things I’m NOT suppose to eat, especially chocolate. Halloween didn’t help my weight loss efforts either. There was just too many temptations all around me (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!). I’m going to try Trim Energy again after the holiday season to see if it makes more of a difference.
Trim Energy helps you to burn fat with green coffee bean. It’s also suppose to help you feel less stress with the Ashwagandha Herb and it’s suppose to boost your metabolism with Green Tea.
Trim Energy is available in packets that you mix in a bottle or glass of water. It has a really nice berry-like taste. I really enjoyed how this tasted.
Trim Energy also contains caffeine. If you are sensitive to caffeine or drink a lot of caffeinated drinks you might want to take that into consideration.
Extreme Berries To Go – This is great to have for the whole family, especially during the Winter months when people are more prone to getting sick.
Extreme Berries to Go are also packets that you mix in a bottle or glass of water. It has an enjoyable fruity flavor. Even my kids love this. They drink it as if it was a glass of Kool Aid. They really enjoy how it tastes.
Each package/serving of Extreme Berries to Go has the antioxidant power of 3 servings of SuperFruits and one serving of vegetables. Just one packet provides you with 100% of your required daily Vitamin C.
Each packet of Extreme Berries to Go also contains 2 servings, so if you drink the entire bottle of water you will actually be getting TWICE the amount. You might want to keep that in mind if you are allowing your kids to drink it. What I have been doing is mixing a packet in a reusable bottle of water, then pour 1/2 in one glass and 1/2 in another and serving it to my kids. They have been enjoying it after school and before dinner when they tend to snack.
Omega To Go – I am very concerned that my family does not get enough Omega in their diets. Omegas are very important for heart, brain and eye health. Google Omegas when you have a chance and you’ll see what I mean.
To Go Brand’s Omega to Go is a delicious way to get vital Omegas in your diet. Not only that it contains Vitamins C, D and E and even is a good source of Fiber.
Since each packet makes two servings I serve this to my children the same way as I do the Extreme Berries. I actually alternate the Omega to Go and Extreme Berries to Go with my kids. Of course if they want both during the course of a day I’m OK with that too. It not only provides my kids with vitamins and minerals that they need but I know they are also drinking enough water eaach day which is equally as important. Many kids don’t drink enough water on a daily basis.
Omega to Go has a pleasant orange taste to it. It’s suppose to be Orange Creamsicle but for me it tastes more like orange. It kind of reminds me of Tang.
Green Tea Energy Fusion – This To Go Brand is suppose to boost not only your metabolism but also your energy. Sadly I didn’t notice a difference in either. However as I mentioned before it’s been a stressful month filled with too many edible temptations, so that could be why I did not notice any difference with my metabolism. As for my energy levels, I honestly didn’t notice much of a difference. Even so I enjoyed the honey lemon taste. As I mentioned earlier, I drink a lot of water on a daily basis, so including packets of the various To Go Brand products into my day is a nice change of pace then just drinking plain water every day.
In all fairness to To Go Brands, I am also Iron and B12 deficient. I get B12 shots and Iron infusions, so my energy levels are different then people who are healthier then me. Just because the products didn’t boost my energy as they are suppose to doesn’t mean they DON’T work. They simply worked differently on me.
If you go to the To Go Brands website and read the customer reviews you’ll notice many people commented on the great natural energy they get from the various To Go Brand products.
To Go Brand products are available online and at various retail locations. My local grocery store carries a few of the drink products. They are also available at Kroger, Safeway, Ralph’s, Harris Teeter, Abe’s Market, Whole Foods, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe and other locations.
