One of the most addicting games to play on Smartphones, iPads and iPods is Angry Birds. If you have never played the game before – DON’T! It’s seriously addicting.
Angry Birds was the very first game I downloaded on our iPad last year. I used to play it all the time. I would find myself talking to my iPad and yelling at those darn pigs for not dying when I hit them with the birds.
I’ve noticed Angry Bird toys in Toys R Us. My kids have even asked for plush Angry Birds as Christmas gifts.
Did you know that Hartz has a line of Angry Birds inspired toys for both dogs and cats?
Hartz new line of Angry Birds toys are adorable. The characters from the game come to life for you pet to enjoy. They even look exactly like the characters from the game.
Angry Birds toys are available for both dogs and cats.
My personal favorite is the Plush Toy with Sound Chip. It’s a dog toy. It not only looks like a plush Angry Bird but when your dogs chews on it the sound chip inside is activated and it sounds exactly like the game. At first my dog didn’t know what to make of it. He’s used to things that squeak. He was a bit reluctant to play with it. I think maybe he thought it was one of the kid’s toys. After I played a game of catch with him he knew it was OK to play with the toy.
Even our kitten Bella likes to play with the ball. It’s a bit too big for her but that doesn’t seem to phase her. She likes to push it around. I thinks he’s trying to turn the sounds on but the only way to do that is to squeeze it which she can’t do.
Our dog Espn’s (pronounced Es-pin) favorite is the long toy with two heads. One side is a pig, the other is a bird. He carries that toy around with him practically everywhere he goes. It squeaks, but I haven’t heard him squeak it much.
We also have an Angry Bird Tuff Stuff Flyer. It’s like a floppy Frisbee with an Angry Bird face on it. We haven’t had a chance to go outside with it yet. I’m not about to start throwing that around in our home. I can see it landing in the Christmas tree and Espn jumping in the tree to get it.
Dogs don’t get all the fun. Hartz also has Angry Bird toys for cats too.
Our cats have a bunch of plastic balls with bells inside. Each ball features the face of an Angry Birds character.
The cats love to swat the balls around. The only problem is that they have some 3D features, so they don’t necessarily roll like a regular ball. That is not really a “problem” per say, but you should keep that in mind if you roll them for your cat. These balls have a mind of their own and go in directions you wouldn’t think they would go.
My cats REALLY love the Angry Birds Catnip Heads. The heads feature Angry Bird characters. In the back of each had is a small pocket that you can open to insert some catnip, then seal with the Velcro strips that are located outside of the pocket.
Needless to say the Angry Birds Catnip Heads were a huge hit with my cats.
As much as my cats LOVED the Angry Birds Catnip Heads they loved another toy even more – the Hartz Angry Birds Wand. The wand comes with two heads that have feathers on them. You attach one of the heads to the string at the end of the wand and watch your cats totally freak out. LOL!
It’s amazing how high a cat can jump VERTICALLY.
I’m sorry that these pictures were a bit on the fuzzy side. The cats were jumping up and down so quickly. It was hard to hold the wand in one hand and take pictures with the other.
The Angry Birds Heads that come with the Wand can also be played with on their own. My cats had fun playing with the head while not on the wand too.
We actually have five cats. Only three of them were open to the idea of having their pictures taken.
The ones you see in these photos are Bella (black and white), Anakin and Padmé (pronounced pad-may). Not pictured are Velcro and Kitty.
There are only a few of the Angry Bird toys that Hartz offers. We were in Wal-mart yesterday and walked past a huge display of Hartz Angry Bird toys.
If you are a fan of the game then you’ll love these toys. Your dog and cat will simply love that they are fun toys.
With this being the holiday season why not pick up a few Hartz Angry Birds toys for your pet. They deserve a special holiday treat too.
