Available now on Blu-ray and DVD is the romantic comedy What’s Your Number? staring Anna Faris and Chris Evans.
I remember seeing the trailer for the movie a long time ago. It looked funny. My husband adores Anna Faris (he thinks she’s cute) and I certainly have no problem watching a movie with Chris Evans in it (eye candy!).
When I first heard the title I thought it was a movie about dating and trying to get numbers so that you could “hook up”. I had a friend like that once. She would play this game with another friend of hers to see how many guy’s numbers they could get before the end of the night. I thought maybe that was what this movie was about (or something similar).
Here is the movie’s trailer. If you are reading this via e-mail you can find the movie’s trailer here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9stplJF1ek.
What’s Your Number? is the story of 20-something (late 20′s) woman name Ally Darling. Ally is single because she can never seem to find the right guy. Lately it seems like she’s dated one loser after another.
One day Ally happens across an article in a magazine that talks about how the average woman has been with 10.5 men in their life time before finding “Mr. Right”. How they come with half a man I’ll never know. LOL!
Out of curiosity Ally tallies up how many men she’s been with over the years. Her number adds up to 19. She doesn’t feel like that number is so bad until she finds out from her best friends that they have been with only a handful of men. She also learned that some study was done that said if a woman has been with 20 or more men by the time they are in their 30′s than they are destined to be single for the rest of their life.
Determined not to become a statistic Ally sets out to track down her past boyfriends and lovers in hopes that one of them is “the one” for her. Even though that person might not have been good for her at the time of her life when they dated, she is hopeful that one of her ex’s can be Mr. Right, right now.
Ally enlists the help of her hottie next door neighbor (Chris Evans) to help her track down all her ex’s so that she can try and reconnect with them.
Ally soon learns that her quest to find Mr. Right is a lot harder than she thinks, especially since many of her ex’s have either not changed at all, or have changed too much.
Does Ally eventually find true love? You’ll just have to pick up a copy of What’s Your Number? to find out.
What’s Your Number? Is rated R and is certainly NOT a family friendly film. There is a lot of cursing, brief nudity and sexual content. Of course I didn’t mind seeing Chris Evans in nothing but a small hand towel.
Anna Faris plays yet another goofy but lovable character. Ally is done in typical Anna Faris fashion. It’s hard not to like any character she plays.
Chris Evans was delightful in the movie. He was shirtless and naked a lot (no worries, you didn’t see “anything”, if you catch my drift). Even though he started out as a loser you quickly learned to like his character and could see that there was more to him and that he really was a nice guy.
There were a lot of funny scenes in the movie. I liked the one where she was pretending to be British for an old boyfriend and I think it was funny how she kept bumping into her ex she nicknamed “Disgusting Doug” (who turned out to be a hottie). Even going so far as to accidentally showing up at his wedding. That was funny.
The movie had some laugh out loud moments, and other times they were just a little chuckle. It was a cute movie.
Make sure to watch the extras including the deleted scenes. The deleted scenes help to give you a little more background on Ally and some of her exes. Her dance sequence with her ex, “Disgusting Doug”, was funny too.
Look for What’s Your Number? where ever Blu-rays and DVDs are sold.
