This Sunday, February 26, 2012 on ABC is the 84th Academy Awards ceremony. Do you plan on watching to see who takes home top honors?
I know that certain special someones will be rooting for their song in the Best Original Song category – the Muppets! That’s right, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Walter and the rest of the Muppets will be cheering for their song “Man or Muppet“. The music and lyrics are by Bret McKenzie.
If you haven’t seen the new Muppet movie yet, here is the music video for the song that is up for the award. Keep an eye out for Jim Parsons from Big Bang Theory who made a surprise appearance in the video.
FYI…The Muppet movie will be available on March 20, 2012 with a special Wocka Wocka pack. This special value pack contains the movie on Blu-ray high-definition, DVD and Digital Copy (3 discs) plus a download card which allows fans to own all the songs from the film’s hugely popular soundtrack from Walt Disney Records. That is awesome! I cannot wait to add the movie to our family’s movie collection.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that “Man or Muppet” walks away with the golden statue.

I will be watching for sure. It’s tradition in our home. It’s odd though I haven’t heard any of the songs nominated for Best Song. In the past I use to know at least one of them lol.
