A special Mother’s Day giveaway from WB Home Entertainment (end 5/9/12)

On Mother’s Day many offer their mom gifts like flowers, candy and beauty products. Those gifts are certainly wonderful and very much appreciated. If you normally give your mom similar gifts, why not think “outside the box” this year and give mom something really cool – entertainment!

WB Home Entertainment would like to give a lucky reader four wonderful movies that mom is sure to enjoy. The four movies are as follows;

The Bodyguard:

This box office blockbuster stars Academy Award-winner Kevin Costner (“The Guardian,” “The Upside of Anger”) and Grammy Award-winner Whitney Houston (“Waiting to Exhale”) in a romantic suspense thriller about an ex-secret service agent-turned-professional-bodyguard, who never leaves anything up to chance, until he meets a pop superstar-turned-actress whose fabulous career takes a life threatening turn when she becomes the target of an obsessive fan. Written by Lawrence Kasdan (“The Big Chill,” “Raiders of the Lost Ark”), The New York Post calls this film “Costner’s sexiest role to date,” and Gannett News Service calls it “an entertaining, suspenseful, romantic thriller… Costner and Houston generate sparks!” Featuring the chart-topping #1 album of the year by Houston (10,000,000 records sold to date — the biggest-selling CD worldwide of all time!).

Don Juan De Marco:

A psychotherapist examines a patient who believes he’s the world’s greatest lover. Starring Marlon Brando, Johnny Depp and Faye Dunaway.

Joyful Noise:

Oscar® nominees Queen Latifah (“Chicago,” “Hairspray”) and Dolly Parton (“Transamerica,” “Steel Magnolias,” “Nine to Five”) star in Alcon Entertainment’s and Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Joyful Noise,” a funny and inspirational story of music, hope, love and renewal. The small town of Pacashau, Georgia, has fallen on hard times, but the people are counting on the Divinity Church Choir to lift their spirits by winning the National Joyful Noise Competition. The choir has always known how to sing in harmony, but the discord between its two leading ladies now threatens to tear them apart. Their newly appointed director, Vi Rose Hill (Latifah), stubbornly wants to stick with their tried-and-true traditional style, while the fiery G.G. Sparrow (Parton) thinks tried-and-true translates to tired-and-old. Shaking things up even more is the arrival of G.G.’s rebellious grandson, Randy (Jeremy Jordan). Randy has an ear for music, but he also has an eye for Vi Rose’s beautiful and talented daughter, Olivia (Keke Palmer), and the sparks between the two teenagers are causing even more heat between G.G. and Vi Rose. If these two strong-willed women can overcome their differences and find a common voice, they–and their choir–may make the most joyful noise of all.

New Years Eve:

Director/producer Garry Marshall brings together a stellar ensemble cast to celebrate love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts, in intertwining stories told amidst the pulse and promise of New York City on the most dazzling night of the year.

I have not seen New Years Eve yet. I can’t wait to see it. I loved Valentine’s Day and this movie is the follow up to that movie. Plus I love how they make the character’s stories intertwine with one another.

Joyful Noise looks like a sweet movie too. The Bodyguard of course is a classic, especially with the untimely passing of the late Whitney Houston. And Don Juan De Marco stars Johnny Depp. Need I say more? :-)
