Mother’s Day is in a few weeks, as is my birthday. My husband keeps asking me what I’d like to have as a gift. Since my birthday is close to Mother’s Day he usually gets me one “big” gift (when we can afford it that is) instead of two separate gifts.
Ideally I would love to have a Mother’s Ring. I used to have one but one of the stones popped out of it. It wasn’t an expensive ring so it wasn’t worth having the stone replaced. It would have cost more to have the stone replaced then the ring it’s self.
I love jewelry that is made especially for moms, with their famly’s or children’s birthstones on it. Since there is only the four of us (me, my husband and our two children) I prefer something with all four of our birthstones, not just my kids.
My birthstone is an Emerald, as is my daughter’s. My husband is a Diamond and my son a Sapphire. I wish my daughter’s was different then mine, that way my Mother’s jewelry was a bit more colorful.
I really love this ring (pictured below). It’s from the Bradford Exchange. It’s $119.00 for up to six birthstones. I love that it has each family member’s name engraved on it. I also like that it’s both gold and silver so it will match with other jewelry that I own.
If jewelry with children’s birthstones in it is not something that interests you (or your mom), the Bradford Exchange and plenty of lovely jewelry to choose from.
I love Emeralds because it’s my birthstone and because green is my favorite color. There is plenty of beautiful jewelry featuring a single birthstone. You don’t need to choose your birthstone either. If you happen to love Sapphires, even though your birthstone is Opal, there is nothing stopping you from wearing Sapphire jewelry.
There is also much more then just rings. They have bracelets, earrings and necklaces too, as well as fine collectibles.
