Remember years ago when you had to look through the classified to find available apartments, or hope that you had a friend who know of a place that was available? Some people still rely on their local paper, but what if you are looking for an apartment in another town, or even another state?
Apartment Guide is an online resource that helps people find apartments all across the country, whether it be in your own town or on the other coast. Apartment Guide also has a lot of valuable resources to help people pick the perfect apartment. You can find great articles on packing, moving and moving with pets and more.
Apartment Guide now has a FREE app you can download on your smart phone or tablet. Now you can search for apartments on the go!
I have an iPhone. I went to the Apps and searching for Apartment Guide. Several apps came up but the one you should download has the letters “AG” (Apartment Guide) in a read square. It’s by Primedia.
I downloaded the app to give it a try. Even though we own our condo, my husband and I have toyed with the idea of renting in hopes it would save us money in the long run so that we can FINALLY buy a house. Four people living in a shoebox sized one bedroom condo is not cutting it anymore. The kids NEED their own space, as does me and my husband.
We’re not really sure where to look. It would all depend on what the average rental price is in the area. That is why I like Apartment Guide’s app. It lets you find places in a specific town or in a general location.
I love how the application gives you all the details about an apartment, from a description to the monthly cost. It also lets you know if you are allowed pets and if there are any rules about having them. One place I looked at on the app has a maximum pet weight of 30 pounds and you have to pay a $300 deposit, yet they didn’t mention how many pets you can have (I have five cats and a dog).
Apartment Guide’s app lets you search by price range, number of bedrooms and/or bathrooms, how many miles (radius) from the main location you are looking at and even your favorite anemity.
If you want to learn more about a specific apartment property you can search for that as well on this application.
Some apartment complexes have more then one apartment option (1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and so forth). The Apartment Guide’s app gives you a listin of possible available apartments as well as their current prices. Of course you’ll need to call or e-mail the apartment complex to check on availability and to make sure the prices haven’t changed.
Two of my most favorite features about this application is the photos and floor plans for the apartments.
Many apartments on the Apartment Guide’s app have photos, some even more than one photo. I’ve seen both exterior and interior photos and several apartments with more then one photo. It’s a great way to see if it a place you might be comfortable in, or if the place needs a lot of work.
The floor plans are AWESOME! I love being able to see what the layout of an apartment is. I like to see if a place “flows” well. Plus with teenagers I like to see where their bedrooms are in location to the door. We wouldn’t want anyone to sneak out in the middle of the night. LOL!
This application is a “must have” for apartment hunters across the country. It really does supply you with a wealth of valuable information which will make your search for the perfect apartment a lot easier. Best of all it’s FREE!
