Quantcast

A fun way to shop from The Find

A few weeks ago I posted about a really cool Catalogue application you can download to your iPad, Kindle or Android tablet. This free application literally brings dozens of popular catalogue, and even some unique catalogues, all together in one place. Instead of Internet shopping website by website, you can do all your shopping from catalogues all in one convenient app.

The Catalogue app has the latest catalogs from various brand names and retailers including one for home, children, beauty, fashion and gifts.

This app is FREE to download. It allows you to easily flip through the pages of your favorite catalogs with a simple swipe of your finger. Unlike traditional paper catalogs, this application allows you to save your favorite products with just the tap of your finger. There is no more scrambling for post it note, dog earring pages or circling items you are interested in with a pen. Best of all it allows you to save your favorite items from all the catalogs all in one convenient place. There is no need to have paper catalogs piling up in your home until you are ready to order.

Here is a little more information about the Catalogue app.

  • A simple, clean interface allows for easy browsing,
  • Tear-&-Share (as close as you can get to tearing out a printed catalog page, or product & sharing).
  • Search for items, or simply browse through popular categories.
  • Camera View helps you visualize how items from catalogs fit in your living space (iPad 2 only).
  • Recent store email, news, offers and deals collated inside the app conveniently.
  • Save your favorite items or entire catalogs for the next time you return (login required).
  • Login through Facebook to personalize your shopping experience. App syncs automatically with TheFind.com website… meaning, whatever stuff you save, you can browse on your computer too.

You can also e-mail items to yourself or someone else. For example, if you come across a great gift idea you want to get your parents for their anniversary and you want your sister’s opinion you can e-mail the item to your sister straight from the Catalogue app.

I love that this app has catalogues for all my favorite places to shop including Think Geek, Williams-Sonoma, Lowes, Sharper Image, Lands End, dEliA’s, J. Crew, One Step Ahead, The Company Store, Right Start, Coldwater Creek and Oriental Trading to name a few.

I had a gift certificate to Think Geek. I love that site! They have THE COOLEST gadgets and gifts. You can always find really unique products there, ideal for your “inner Geek”.

Here are a few examples of the cool things you can find on Think Geek.

Huggable Star Wars Plush with Sounds.

Nintendo Wall GraphicsLight Up Moon Clock

Character Stickers (give your office supplies a little personality).

I LOVE this store. With my Think Geek gift certificate I was able to shop the site via the Catalogue app and save my favorite goodies. And let me tell you I saved a lot of items too. There were dozens of things on the site that I really wanted to get.

After much shopping (and wearing out the battery on my Kindle Fire which I need to re-charge) I decided to buy a cute little fish tank for my desk. It’s not a real fish. I saw the same set at the Cracker Barrel restaurant when I was there last time and it’s really realistic looking. I think it would be fun to have on my desk and to look at. Fish are so relaxing.

I also purchased a jelly fish tank. I’ve seen the real thing and they are pretty cool to watch. This tank is filled with fake jelly fish but you wouldn’t think that when  you watch them move around.

Here is a cool video that shows the jelly fish in action.

If you are reading this via e-mail you can view the video on the Think Geek website,http://bit.ly/t9wBZT.

I recently ordered both items so they have not arrived yet. I’ll add my own pictures when they arrive and I’ve had time to play around with them.

I love that I was able to browse for these fun products from my Kindle Fire using the Catalogue app. No more searching through paper catalogs to find exactly what I’m looking for. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve misplaced catalogs or they have been accidentally sent to the recycle bin.

The Catalogue app is always being updated so you know the catalogs you are seeing are up to date and the latest catalog available for that company/website.

Speaking of catalogs, imagine how many trees can be saved by using the Catalogue app instead of paper catalogs? This application is also very Earth friendly when you look at it that way.

Another thing I love about this application is that I have discovered so many new stores that I never knew about. I have plenty of new favorite catalogs to look at now. Shopping for the holiday season is going to be a lot easier with the convenience of all these great catalogs in one place.
