Enter Your Yosicle Adventure Contest – Plus win a 6-month supply of Posicles & a $50 GC (ends 6/10/12)

Last week I had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to chat with Tom Kenny on the phone. Chances are many people are not familiar with the name Tom Kenny but I know most everyone is familiar with his work. Tom does a lot of voice over work. You might be familiar with Heffer Wolfe (Rocko’s Modern Life), Cliff the dog (Cat/Dog), the Mayor (Power Puff Girls) and Rabbit (Winnie the Pooh movie). I think most people will know him as the voice of SpongeBob Squarepants.

First of all I must say that Tom Kenny is amazing. I was frazzled over the idea of interviewing him. Interviews are not my strong point. From the moment Tom came on the phone he immediately put me at ease and started to crack jokes. We chatted for a half hour and we could have talked longer but I ran out of questions. LOL!

I’m going to write about my interview in another post. I didn’t want to overwhelm readers with a super long post. I might even have to break his interview up into two parts. We’ll see.

Tom Kenny is lending his voice to a new contest for Popsicle. It’s called Your Yosicle Adventure. Tom is the voice of Popsicle Pete’s mom, Pamela.

You can find more information about the contest on Popsicle’s Facebook page. It’s actually pretty fun because it’s interactive. You get to help Popsicle Pete escape from the bulls that are chasing him. YOU get to choose his next course of action. What happens next is different each time you play if you choose an alternate course for Popsicle Pete.

Popsicle would like for YOU to create your own ending for Popsicle Pete’s Your Yosicle Adventure, specifically your script must include Popsicle Pete combining with yogurt in an unexpected and wacky but safe way.

The grand prize winner will be flown out o LA to meet Tom Kenny in person (LUCKY!) as well as have their “ending” turned into a cartoon by professional animators, then broadcast to the world.

The contest is open NOW and will end at 11:59 PM (EST) on June 12, 2012 so you must hurry if you want to enter.

I asked Tom what he thought about being asked to participate in this fun Popsicle contest. He is thrilled that he was asked to participate. He told me he cannot wait to read the entries, especially from the kids because he said kids have the greatest imaginations. Even though you have to be 18 or older to enter I’m sure children and adults alike can come up with the perfect script.

Tom also told me he’s looking forward to doing the voices for the chosen script and he’s especially excited to meet his fans.

Tom has had a chance to try the new Yosicles. He said they are a creamier version of Popsicles.

Of course I had to ask Tom what his favorite Popsicle is and he told me it’s Orange Creamsicle. Mmm… I love those too! He even went so far to say if the ice cream truck went by he’d chance it down just to get a Creamsicle.
