When my son was younger he was obsessed with trucks, cars and trains. I think it’s common for young boys (and even girls!) to be that way. Whenever we’d leave the house, even if it was just to run down to the store to grab a few things, he’d have to bring one of his trucks or cars with him.

When I was a young girl I LOVED to play with trucks. I had several of them, the actual metal kind. My favorite was a car carrier. I played with that a lot as well as my dump truck. I really wanted the horse carrier and I asked Santa for that many years in a row but I never received it.

I think dump trucks are probably every child’s favorite. Kids love to put things in the truck, like dirt or other toys, drive them around and then dump everything out all over the place. When my son was little he used to take our then kitten for a ride in his dump truck. He also used to drive around his collection of stuffed cats (he loved cat stuffed animals).

Blocks were another thing he used to love to put in his dump truck. He pretended they were boulders that had to be removed from a work site.

Steer Me Steve Dump Truck is made by Mega Bloks, so you know it has to come with bloks too. The dump truck comes with seven colorful bloks for your child to stack and create with. Or they can just use them as cargo for Steer Me Steve to drive around.

Children can fill Steve up with Bloks and drive it around the house to the “dumping site”. To dump off the cargo you child just has to pull the lever found on the side of Steve and he dumps the Bloks out. Driving (steering) and dumping are two of the funnest things kids do with trucks. What child does’t love to do that?

Steer Me Steve by Mega Bloks is made very well. This toy can get knocked around and dropped and it will still hold up just fine. It’s made with a very hard, colorful plastic. The lever seems to be well made too. I’ve moved it around a lot (back and forth, back and forth…).

Steve is a good size too. Not too big, not too small. He’s just right for the average 1-5 year old which is the recommended age for this toy.
