I live in the suburbs of New York City. Prior to where I currently live I lived about 2 hours north of the city. Even though I am so close I have never seen a Broadway show. I’ve seen off Broadway shows at the Elmsford Dinner Theater in Elmsford, NY (LOVE that place!) but I’ve never seen an actual Broadway show.
My daughter has seen TWO Broadway shows so far – Mama Mia and West Side Story. She saw them with her chorus group in middle school. How lucky!
Seeing a Broadway show is actually on my “Bucket List”. Some day I hope to see one.
If you are a fan of the theater you might be interested in knowing that Ticketmaster is offering big savings on events nationwide. Here is a bit from their press release.

The nominations were announced last month and fans will be able to purchase these discounted tickets to see their favorite production again or see the production they missed in time to cheer during the Tony Awards ceremony at 8PM on CBS on June 10th,” said Christy Renzulli, marketing services director, arts & theatre of Ticketmaster.
Patrons can purchase discounted tickets for many exciting arts events in New York and throughout the country as well as for the following Tony Award® nominees: Ghost the Musical, Jesus Christ Superstar, Peter and the Starcatcher, and SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark.
There are so many amazing shows to go and see. I hope someone takes advantage of these discounts. Personally I would love to see Mary Poppins. That looks really good.
Someday…
