Like most women I am super busy. Years ago (pre-children) I wouldn’t be caught dead out in public with no make-up on and my hair undone. These days going out make-up free is the norm and my hair is almost always in a ponytail. I honestly don’t have the time sometimes to get all “dolled up”. This is why I am always on the look out for products that will allow me to add to my beauty routine, but save me time as well. If it’s quick and easy than I want it.
My hair used to be my crowning glory. I had super thick hair when I was younger. My brother in law’s sister used to be my hairdresser. She referred to my hair as a “lion’s mane”. I was always receiving compliments on my hair.
Life and aging has not treated my hair well. My once super thick hair is a lot thinner. It’s also lifeless and dull. It’s just “there”. There is nothing unique or beautiful about it. It makes me sad that my once beautiful hair is like this. I try many different hair care products but nothing seems to bring the life back into it.
A while back I received a sample of Cureology’s Illumination Shine Mist to try out and review. The spray is supposed to add shine and sheen to your hair and make it look healthier. Knowing how lifeless my hair looked I was very anxious to give it a try.
I am not one who likes to use things made with a lot of artificial ingredients and things that I cannot pronounce. The more natural a product is the better. I tend to lean towards products that are more natural, Earth friendly and most especially cruelty free. Cureology’s products meet all three requirements.
Cureology products are 100% natural and 100% cruelty free. They are WITHOUT sulfates, phalates, parabens, artificial fragrances and other hard to pronounce chemicals. They are also organic and vegan friendly. Cureology is also dedicated to creating products that leave the world a better place.
I am really impressed with Cureology’s dedication to being socially responsible too. A portion of their sales go to the The National Breast Cancer Foundation which helps provide funding for free mammograms and helps with education and research. This is not something they do during Breast Cancer Awareness month like many companies do. Cureology donates year round.
With all this in mind I was even more excited to try out the Cureology Illumination Shine Mist. It should be named “Shine in a bottle” because it really does add instant shine to your hair – even my dull, lifeless hair.
This product is super easy to use, which is great for people who don’t have much time for their beauty routine. Simply style your hair like you normally would and then lightly mist the spray on your hair. That’s it! That is all you need to do. Once it’s dry you can even comb/brush your hair again if you need to.
I tried to take a before/after photo of my hair using the Illumination Shine Mist. The photo didn’t really show any difference. Trust me, there is a difference. A big difference!
Have you ever seen a hair care product commercial on TV and the models have perfect hair? They have hair that is silky smooth without so much as a single split hair. Their hair is always super shiny. That is the same kind of shine that you can achieve with the Illumination Shine Mist.
The product smells nice, it doesn’t weigh your hair down and it’s not sticky. It also washes out of your hair easily with any shampoo. You can use the product every day or whenever you want to make your hair look noticeably healthy.
I love how the Cureology Illumination Shin Mist makes my hair look shiny and healthy. It brings the life back into my hair.
Cureology offers a variety of other products including shampoos, conditioners, scalp therapies, anti-frizz serums and more.
