Are you ready for the summer Olympics? (Giveaway ends 7/5/12)

The Summer Olympic Games are starting next month. Are you excited? What is your favorite Summer Olympic sport?

P&G is also partnering with Lolo Jones. Lolo is a world champion hurdler and U.S. Olympic hopeful. Lolo recently announced that Procter & Gamble (P&G) is donating $25,000 on behalf of Family Dollar to the P&G Team USA Youth Sports Fund.

Did you know that Lolo attended eight schools in eight years while her single mother often held down two jobs to support her family of six. WOW! My kids are stressing about moving and changes schools just once, let alone eight times.

In third grade, Lolo and her family settled in the basement of a Des Moines-area church. Lolo attributes her success to the support of her mom and community, as well as hard work and determination.

“Growing up we didn’t have a lot of money so my mom really had to stretch her budget,” Jones said. “My family really benefited from the great values we received on P&G products from Family Dollar.”
