Are you bored with your usual snacking options? Are you looking for a delicious way to spice up your snacking routine? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions then I have something you need to check out – Pillsbury Baguette Chips!
I try and keep a decent supply of snacks on hand for my family. We always have fresh fruit and vegetables on hand. I also keep other snack options available too because we’re only human and sometime we want something that would be considered a “no-no” like chips, crackers or cookies. I try and keep better-for-you-options on hand. I look for things that are low in fat and calories but still provide the same great taste that we all crave.
Pillsbury Baguette Chips are oven baked bread that are topped with tasty seasonings. They are available delicious flavors such as Italian Cheese & Herb and Cheddar Sun-Dried Tomato. These chips are tasty, crunchy and satisfying.
My Blog Spark sent my family a few bags of Pillsbury Baguette Chips to try out. We had both flavors.
I’m not normally a fan of sun-dried tomatoes, however the Cheddar Sun-Dried Tomato flavored Baguette Chips were amazing. They were so flavorful! I had a hard time stopping myself from eating them. Initially you taste the tomato flavor, then as you chew on them some more the cheddar flavor comes through.
The Italian Cheese & Herb flavor is also very flavorful. I found that initially the flavor is very delicate, then as you chew on them some more the flavor explodes in your mouth.
These baguette chips are great straight from the bag or you can enjoy them in other ways. One of my favorite ways to enjoy them is to dip them in some cheese spread. One serving of Pillsbury Baguette Chips (21 chips) is 130 calories. When you pair them with a wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese (Light Creamy Swiss is only 35 calories per wedge) you have a delicious and satisfying snack.
The baguette chips have 50% less fat than regular potato chips. Pillsbury Baguette Chips have 5g fat per 29g serving where as regular potato chips have 11g fat per 29g serving. Please see nutrition information for sodium content.
These chips go great in salads too! Use them in place of croutons to add more flavor to your salad.
I haven’t tried it yet but I’m looking forward to enjoying these in tomato soup. We normally use broken up saltines or Goldfish crackers. I’m sure the baguette chips will add a blast of flavor to an ordinary bowl of soup.
