As most of my readers know I am the “mom” to five cats and a dog who thinks he’s a cat. His name is Epsn (pronounced Es-Pin).
We have many nicknames for Espn. I call him Wub, or Wubbie a lot (I don’t know why). We also call him Hairy Rat Dog because he’s part Rat Terrier and part Maltese. When Espn goes a long time without being groomed he’s not the nicest looking dog (he looks like a mangy mutt). When he’s newly shaven he looks really dorky. He is at his best about a month after being groomed. That is when he looks his cutest. 
GUND, makers of the cutest plush animals around, is having a fun contest I thought some of my readers might be interested in entering. It’s called the GUND Top Dog Contest.
Inspired by the wildly-popular “World’s Cutest Dog” Boo stuffed dog from GUND this contest invites dog “parents” from around the country to submit photos of their own four-footed friends on the GUND Facebook page. There are four different categories;
· Most Beautiful Dog
· Ugliest Dog
· “Doganista”/Best Dressed Dog
· Dog that Most Resembles its Owner
Now for the cool part – the Grand Prize winner will have a limited edition plush made to resemble the winning dog. The plush version of the Grand Prize winner will be available for purchase in gift and toy stores across the country in 2013.
How cool is that! A GUND plush of YOUR DOG could be seen on store shelves across the country as well as make it’s way into the arms of little boys and girls who will shower it with love.
To enter simply upload your dog’s photo via the contest tab on the GUND Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GottaGettaGUND). You can enter photos until August 5, 2012. Voting takes place from August 6, 2012 - August 15, 2012. The winners will be chosen the week of August 20th and announced the week of August 27, 2012.
In addition to the Top Dog Contest on Facebook, GUND will run the “Most Pinteresting Dog” Contest on Pinterest. Consumers will be asked to post their entry on their own pages, “tag” @GUNDMostPinterestingDog and submit the link to GUND at MostPinterestingDog@GUND.com.
The “Most Pinteresting Dog” Contest winner will be selected based on the number of times the entry is “liked” on the GUND Pinterest board and the winner will receive a selection of GUND products valued at $250 retail.
