Today is a day worth celebrating! It’s National Cheesecake Day! Yummy!

I love cheesecake. My mom introduced me to it many years ago. My first slice of cheese cake was covered in fresh, sweet strawberries. Ever since thee first slice I was hooked.

Most places only offer simple cheesecakes like strawberry, cherry, marbled or plain. Not the Cheesecake Factory. Cheesecake is their specialty. They offer customers the most A-M-A-Z-I-N-G cheesecakes. They have varieties such as Reese’s Peanut Butter Cheesecake, Caramel Pecan Turtle Cheesecake and Dutch Apple Caramel Strudel Cheesecake. Just looking at the photos on their online shop make me drool!

In honor of National Cheesecake Day and the 100th Birthday of one of world’s most beloved cookies, OREO, the Cheesecake Factory has added the OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake to their line up.

My family was offered the wonderful opportunity to try out the new OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake this past week. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! This is the most delicious cheesecake I have ever had. Dare I say it’s even the best cake I’ve ever had before too.

My husband won’t normally eat cheesecake, and my kids can’t get over the idea of “cheese” and “cake” together. My whole family tried the cake and let’s just say those slices never had a chance. They were inhaled quickly. It was piranah’s attacking their food. LOL!

When the cake first arrived I was going to hold off trying it until after dinner. Once me and my kids laid eyes on it we knew we couldn’t wait until after dinner, so we took out a slice and the three of us “sampled” it. Ha! The cake slice was devoured in minutes.

I think the “after” photo pretty much says it all. This is a truly delicious cheesecake!

The OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake is made with fudge cake (bottom), creamy classic cheesecake with OREO chunks embedded into it (middle) and OREO cream mousse (top). The entire cake is topped with milk chocolate icing and the sides are covered in sweet chocolate chips.

I’m sorry that my pictures didn’t turn out that great. This cheesecake looks (and tastes!) better in person.

The new OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake, available only at the Cheesecake Factory, is the ultimate indulgent treat. The fudge cake at the bottom is oh-so-soft and fresh. The classic cheesecake filling with the OREO chunks embedded into it is delicious. I love classic cheesecake to begin with, so having the OREO chunks mixed in is a yummy added bonus.

The OREO mousse is heavenly! It’s a creamy mousse with crushed up ORO mixed into it. Yes, it does taste as wonderful as it sounds! It’s so sweet and creamy.

I LOVE the milk chocolate icing!

I found the chips that were pressed into the outside a wee bit too sweet for my tastes, but my husband and children certainly enjoyed them. In fact they ate every morsel and didn’t even leave so much as one little chip on their plate. If given the opportunity I wouldn’t put it past them to lick the plate clean either. Ha Ha.

The OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake is available TODAY both online and in stores. Since today is National Cheesecake Day, The Cheesecake Factory is offering their cheesecake slices at half-price (in restaurants). If you have no plans for lunch or dinner today you should consider stopping by The Cheesecake Factory (we love their Chef Salads!). You can also purchase the OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake online at The Cheesecake Factory’s online store. This cheesecake is only available in both 7″ and 10″ sizes. That might not sound big but trust me, it is. We have the 10″ size and it has (or should I say HAD) 12 pre-cut sizes.

This cheesecake would be perfect for the holiday season. I would love to serve this on after our Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. Of course you can enjoy cheesecake year round too. I fully intend on telling my husband that I want the new OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake as my birthday cake.
