Has your child or grandchild started back at school yet? My kids go back to school two weeks from this coming Tuesday. It’s so hard to believe that summer is just about over and it’s almost September. Wasn’t it the Forth of July yesterday? It would seem that way.
I have one child in junior high and the other in high school. Gone are the days of cute character backpacks, lunch boxes and crayons. These days my kids need expensive high-tech calculators, trendy outfits and the “must have” footwear.
One thing my kids have not asked for yet (but I have a feeling they will soon) is for new laptops. Both of my kids have old laptops with certain limited capabilities. They are far from high-tech like today’s laptops are. Not only that they are big and heavy whereas laptops these days are thin, lightweight and easy to carry around in a backpack.
When the day comes where my kids need a new laptop I’m going to check out the HP Pavilion dv6-7029wm Entertainment PC. It can be found at Walmart so you know you can get a great deal on it. This slick looking laptop comes with an HP TrueVision HD webcam, 2 in 1 memory card reader and a 6 cell battery which gives you up to 6 hours of battery life. It even comes with Beats Audio amplified by quad speakers and a subwoofer. I know my kids would love that. They listen to music all the time on the laptop or their cellphones.
This laptop also comes with a SuperMulti DVD burner so you can watch movies, read and write CDs and DVDs in multiple formats. It’s always a good idea for students to back up their work, especially important projects, so writing on CDS to back up their work is important.
Printers are also a “must have” for students. I cannot tell you how many times the kids have had to use my computer to print things out on the printer. I think they need their own printer. That way they can print out their work and they won’t disturb me while I need to get work done on my computer.
Walmart has several nice HP printers. I personally like the HP Deskjet 3052a e-All-in-One printers. That way your student can make copies, print out papers and even scan documents. I have an HP printer, but it’s a basic model. I really want to get an all-in-one because I have the need to scan and e-mail documents on a frequent basis.
My favorite feature of the HP all-in-one printers is that most models use a wireless signal which allows you to print remotely. That means if my son is doing homework in the room and my daughter is in the dining room they can print out papers from the printer on the desk without having to get up. I think this helps to make homework time a lot more efficient. My kids tend to get distracted easily. If they had to get up all the time to print out papers they might get sidetracked and it will take them longer to get homework done.
Another wonderful feature is that your child can send homework assignments and photos from the classroom to their HP ePrint printer at home simply by sending an e-mail.
This printer is also great for college students. Parents can keep in touch by sharing photos with the HP ePrint. Parents can even send their college student recipes so they don’t have to eat mac and cheese everyday. LOL!
Of course if you have a printer you’ll need qualify ink. Don’t forget to stock up on HP XL ink cartridges. Always try to keep an extra ink cartridge handy. I cannot tell you how many times we’re run out of ink during and important project. It’s not always convenient to go out and buy more ink so it’s a wise idea to always make sure you have a spare just in case.
You can also save up to 40% on printing using the HP XL ink cartridges compared to HP standard cartridges. I’m all for saving $$$!
Walmart carries all of these HP products and supplies so you can pick up everything your child might need for school in one shopping trip.

Mashtini creation….hmmmm….let me think. Are we talking alcohol drinks here? In that case I would mix Lime sherbert with fresh raspberries and tequila
OK, forget about the tequila mashtini….I just now saw your Mashtini blog. LOL boy do I feel stupid.
My Mashtini would be Layered in this order: Corn, Mashed potatoes, minced garlic.
I like the HP Deskjet 3052a e-All-in-One printers. It would definitely come in handy in our home! The kids will have projects which require photocopying pages and making videos out of them.
For a Mashtini… I’m not sure if the rafflecopter question was right for this giveaway, but I’ll answer the question anyway.
I would use cauliflower fauxtatoes, since we’re eating low carb.
Then I’d add on some cheese and bacon crumbles and maybe some green onions on top.

i would make a loaded mashtini with bacon, chives, cheese, and sour cream. That’s sounds yummy
I like the HP Laptop. As for a mashtini creation. I haven’t any idea . Something with mangoes.
I would make a Mexican flavored Mashtini with melted cheese, roasted pepper salsa, and fresh cilantro.
It would be good stock up on HP ink to have it ready for school papers and projects.
For my kids, they are only in 2nd grade and kindergarten, so right now they don’t use computers very much for school. If I had to pick, I would say that the HP Deskjet 3052a e-All-in-One printer would be helpful to print off things that they could do to enhance their learning like worksheets and things like that.

The HP ink cartridges would be amazing since the kids have to take turns refilling the printer at school. As for a mashtini – I think that question is from another giveaway, but if I were making a mixed drink, I would use some vodka, pineapple juice and champagne!
The HP printer would come in very handy with essays and online projects that have to be uploaded
I like the HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer
id use sour cream. yum.
Hp is awesome! Mashtini….hmm what is that? I guess I’ll use peaches and cream.
dont think I would make it, dont like it.
not sure I know what a mashtini is?
I think that the HP Deskjet 3052a e-All-in-One printers would cover my son’s school needs because it does everything that he would need to get the job done
