Get to know how badly I eat…

A few days ago I did a post about 5 things you would get to know about me if you walked through my home. You can read that post here, http://www.shescribes.com/2012/08/5-things-you-would-learn-about-me-if-you-walked-through-my-house.html.

I did the post as part of a blog “carnival” of sorts (others might call it a blog hop). Myself and several other bloggers all did the same post then took the time to stop by each other’s blogs to check out their posts. It was a lot of fun.

This time around the theme is “Get to know how badly I eat”. I don’t know if we eat THAT badly, but I do admit we have plenty of things in the fridge and pantry that would be considered a “no-no”.

Here is my freezer. The huge box is what is left of our OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Of course we have plenty of Popsicles too. There is meat in the fridge, you just can’t see it (it’s in the back right corner). There is a big bag of ice in the front too.

My fridge is a mess. We ordered Domino’s for lunch (me and the kids) so we have plenty of left overs. Our lunch came with soda. We don’t normally have soda in the fridge.

We do have apples, pears and plumbs in the drawer (also some Capri Sun drinks). There is also a bowl of grapes on top. We did have raspberries and strawberries up until yesterday but the kids inhaled them. Somewhere in the fridge is zucchini and cucumbers.

You can’t forget the fridge/freezer doors either. The freezer door is mostly gelato and ice packs. The fridge door is filled with everything from mayo to coffee creamer and from maple syrup to lemon juice.

We have two pantries in our kitchen too. They are stuffed with with a lot of foods and non-food items.

Pantry #1 has cereals, oatmeal, cream of wheat and other breakfast foods on top. The middle shelf is where all the junk foods are. The third shelf has trail mix, nuts and cleaning supplies.

The bottom shelf is dedicated to our five cats and includes food (dry and canned), treats, toys, little and catnip. That is the reason why our cat Padme’ is hanging out there.

Pantry #2 is a hodge podge of things. The top shelf is K-cups, tea bags, baking supplies and drink mixes.

The next shelf down has miscellaneous stuff we cook/bake with like sugar, rice, Olive Oil, vinegar and our personal favorite, Yoshida Sauce.

The next shelf down has pasta, pasta sauces, side dishes and tuna fish. Oh yeah and a great big container of Arnold Palmer Half and Half (iced tea/lemonade) mix. That is my kid’s favorite.

The bottom is all the stuff for the dog including dry food, canned food, treats, toys and on th side is my hand held blender and a nutcracker and bowl.

I don’t think we eat THAT badly. It could be worse.

Normally the fridge and pantry are a lot more organized. I’ve been slacking a lot lately.

What would I find if I checked out your fridge and/or pantries? Feel free to comment and tell me about how bad (or good!) you eat.

Check out the other blog posts. You can read Trisha at Mom Dot’s post here, http://www.momdot.com/get-to-know-how-badly-i-eat, then scroll down to the bottom to see the other participating blogger’s posts. It’s a fun way to discover new blogs and get to know the blogs you already know and love, like mine. :-)

  1. Not bad at all. I think food bloggers tend to have more stocked food… my dry goods also take up the pantries and several cupboards. :)

  2. I found it very hard to concentrate on anything else after the mention of the OREO Dream Extreme Cheesecake. Yum!

  3. I think I’ll come shopping in your pantry! They look so stocked compared to mine.

  4. I love how the furbabies are sniffing around in each pantry shot lol

    • Yeah, they just had to get in the picture some how. With five cats and a dog it’s next to impossible to take any pictures without someone popping their head in.

  5. I don’t think it looks bad at all! Much better organized than mine!

  6. Yum, Dominoes! The Keurig tumbler looks familiar ;) Love the critters checking out the pantry.

    • I love pineapple pizza from Dominos.

The Keurig tumbler has the Wild Blueberry coffee in it. I was trying to make iced coffee with it.

My mini-zoo are always in the pantries whenever the doors are opened.

  7. Wow, your pantry is neat, I can not keep mine that way.

  8. Betty Baez says:

It looks like my fridge and my pantry I don’t think it’s that bad

  9. Oh goo, another cereal loving household! Your cupboards are really organized nicely!

    • I admit it. I’m addicted to Lucky Charms. But I do have Cheerios and Raisin Bran so I try to alternate between “healthy” and a bowl of sugar. :-)

  10. Your pantry is super clean. I definitely don’t judge, I have A SMLL fridge and cram everything in LOL

  11. You are pretty organized! Now I feel like having pizza … but that’s Friday’s dinner!

  12. Looks way more organized than my pantry!

  13. Gelato…yum! Are you sharing? :-)

    • Not just any gelato – Talenti gelato – Sea Salt Caramel! I ♥ that flavor. The Peanut Butter Cup too!

  14. Your pantry is so organized! I feel you on the berries – my kids eat them like crazy!!

    • Thanks. It should look better.

All our berries are gone. I swear the kids are like vaccuums sometimes.

  15. Is that three bottles of wine? That is like kims house. ROFL

    • LOL… you should see my wine/booze collection, yet I rarely drink.

The bottles you see are actually sparking fruit juices. There are a couple of bottles on the bottom of hard cider (also sent for me to review). I drank one bottle and left the rest in the fridge.

My hubby has never drank in his life (not even a sip) so those bottles will stay there forever. :-)

I think I need to visit Kim and bring along my “collection” to share with her.

  16. I knew that was Cheesecake Factory before I even started reading LOL YUM!

  17. You’re not doing too bad. Just one soda in there, and all that fruit? pretty good.

  18. When school starts back up, I’ll have a big bag of snack chips in it for the kids. I’m going to have to try to find some healthy snacks for them. I think you have a nice variety of foods for the family.

  19. Looks like kitty is hungry!

  20. I love the curious pets in the photos! Cute!
