“Rocker Chic” Fashions & Adorable Toys at PetSmart (giveaway ends 8/21/12)

With five cats and a dog I do a lot of shopping for pet foods, products and toys for my mini-zoo. PetSmart is my #1 destination for all my pet supplies. In fact I was there over the weekend picking up some hairball medication for our youngest cat and some urinary tract health products for another cat. Of course I can never leave the store without picking up a new toy for our dog and some catnip or cat grass for our cats. :-)

Our dog, Espn (pronounced Es-pin) has a lot of wonderful toys from PetSmart. I love thier new Toys R Us line of toys. Have you seen them yet? They are adorable! They almost look more like toys for children (babies) then they do for dogs. They are very colorful and have adorable little faces. Knowing how Espn sometimes tears his toys apart I was reluctant to give him the Toys R Us toys because they are just too cute to be chewed up.

I’m not kidding when I say they look like toys you’d find in a baby’s stroller, not your dog’s toy box (Espn has his own toy box which is really a huge wicker basket).

I had to search around the house for them but I found a few. Espn managed to pull some stuffing out of the catapiller but it’s easily fixed. I just have to put a few stitches around the opening. The one (pictured below) I can’t seem to find.

Aren’t they adorable? The one toy with the spikey ball looks like a dog toy, but don’t the other two look like something a baby would play with?

Another fun new product line found at PetSmart was created by rocker Brett Michaels. If you are unfamiliar with his name, he was the lead singer of the 80′s – 90′s “hair band” Poison. I saw them in concert once. :-)

I love the heavy metal bands from the 80′s. It’s all I ever listend to back then. It was all about the big hair and tight spandex. That is why I was shocked to find out that Brett Michaels had designed toys and fashions for PetSmart. A children’s line perhaps, but pets?

Check out some of the fun pieces in the Brett Micheals collection found only at PetSmart.

Espn has the “leather” boot pictured above but for the life of me I can’t find it. He has a tendency to drop toys off the balcony so I’ll have to look for it outside later.

I received some Bret Michaels products to review including the boot, an outfit, a really cool leather collar, a bandana and a rockin’ food dish.

Here are some pictures of Espn in is outfit, bandana and the boot toy. I also tried the outfit on our youngest cat Bella. It fit her well too. It was harder to get a good shot of Espn because he wouldn’t stand still long enough. I’m sorry the picture is fuzzy.

I could not get a good photo of the leather collar. It’s made of real leather. The one we have has red stitching around it to give it a cool look (black leather with red stitching). It’s a substantial collar. It’s made very well. It might be a wee bit heavy for a small dog. It’s ideal for larger and stronger dogs because it’s made incredibly well. It’s a bit stiff at first but eventually it seems to “mold” it’s self just right around your dog’s neck.

One of the coolest pieces is the Bret Michaels dog food bowl. My husband finds it a bit strange and he says it doesn’t fit with our kitchen decor, but that is fine with me. I think it’s cool and it really stands out.

I would take a photo but ours currently has dog food in it. This is what it looks like on the outside and inside.

Love it!
