What is the best way to display jerseys?

I have a quick question. Hopefully someone might have some suggestions.

What is the best way to display jerseys? For example, if you wanted to display your children’s lacrosse team jerseys, how would you go about it? I’m only asking because we have an NFL jersey we want to display and team shirts from when my kids were little and played sports.

I have thought about turning my children’s team shirts into a quilt or pillow. I have seen instructions for that online. I’m not a very handy person when it comes to sewing and such, but it’s better than leaving them tucked away in boxes. It was even suggested to me to take a few pictures of them and then toss them away. I don’t know if I want to do that. I think it’s fun to hold them up to the kids and see how much they have grown.

My husband has an NFL jersey that he put inside a poster frame (it didn’t look very nice either) that was autographed not once, but twice, by NFL great Emmitt Smith. The only problem is the frame fell off the wall and shattered into a million pieces. Since then the jersey has been hanging in the closet.

My husband really wants to display the jersey again but the only frames he can find are around $100, which seems like a lot of money, especially when you live on a budget.

I was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas they wouldn’t mind sharing with me? Our 16th anniversary is coming up this October and I would love to find a way for my husband to display his beloved jersey.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
