Keep the fire burning year round

This summer I was honored to be able to participate in a special campaign with Hershey’s and The Motherhood that centered around one of my favorite treats – S’mores!

My kids love S’mores but they have only had them at home made in the microwave. They never roasted a marshmallow over a flame and assembled their S’mores around a campfire or barbecue. I was super excited for the opportunity to see my kids roasting marshmallows for the very first time.

They loved it! They probably could have done it all day if we had enough S’more ingredients. This is why I am so anxious to buy a house with a yard. If we had a house we could get a barbecue and a fire pit and the kids could make S’more any time they want – year round too!

Each blogger that participated in the campaign was given a theme and a set of questions to answer based on the theme. My theme was Keep the fire burning. At first I wasn’t really sure how that pertained to making S’mores, but the more I thought about it the more I understood what my theme was about. Summer time is about making memories, having fun, enjoying each other’s company and living life. Those same things should apply to your life year round. For me, “keep the fire burning” means making memories, having fun, enjoying each other’s company and living life long after the last embers on your family’s summer barbecue have died out.

Hershey’s was kind enough to share my answers to the questions on their Facebook page. I would love it if you could stop by and check it out. “Comment love” would also be very much appreciated. :-)

Let me as YOU the same question… How do YOU “keep the fire burning”? I would love to hear from my readers.

  1. We love making “designer” s’mores with different kinds of (Hershey’s!) chocolate. Try them with Reese’s peanut butter cups :-)

I was craving a smore so badly the other day I ended up making one in the microwave!
