Second Annual National Family Pack Walk with “Dog Whisperer” Cesar Millan (Giveaway ends 9/30/12)

If you read my blog frequently you know that animals are near and dear to my heart. We currently have a five cats, four snails, three goldfish and a dog. Needless to say we love animals.

Whenever I learn about a charitable organization or event that helps to rescue, rehabilitate and/or find “forever homes” for pets, I want to do what I can to support it. Even if I don’t always have the funds to donate I can still donate my time or help spread the word.

On September 29, 2012, in Washington, D.C., the second annual National Family Pack Walk will take place. It will be lead by the “Dog Whisperer”, Cesar Millan. All proceeds from the event will go towards a charitable organization to help improve the lives of dogs.

There are also other National Family Pack Walks happening across the country. Visit www.ScoobyPackWalk.com to learn more about local events, plus how you and your family can participate, donate or even volunteer. I think this is a great thing to do as a family. It’s a great time to spend with your family, it supports a great charity and it’s a great way to sneak in some exercise. It’s a win-win situation all around.

Here are more details of the event. If you happen to be in the Washington, D.C. area I would encourage you to check it out.

  10. I have two dogs. One is a well trained belgium malinois who is a retired police dog. The other is a older untrained australian shepard I just adopted a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, Kai is picking up some bad habits from Blue. I have to nip that in the bud. It is really hard to train an older overweight australian shepard who was taught nothing. It has taken me all this time just to barely teach him to sit.
