The Perks of Being a Wallflower Givaway (ends 10/5/12)

The movie based on the best selling novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky , which is now in select theaters. I was a wallflower in school, but I didn’t experience many perks from it. A wallflower is someone who is shy, introverted and sort of blends into the background. They tend to observe rather than participate. That’s me. Even to this day I am very shy and quiet and I tend to just stand in the background and watch people rather than participate. It’s not that I don’t want to be involved – I do! It’s just that I’m very shy.

The movie version of The Perks of Being a Wallflower stars Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Ezra Miller, Mae Whitman, Kate Walsh, Nina Dobrev and Dylan McDermott.

A funny and touching coming-of-age story based on the beloved best-selling novel by Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a modern classic that captures the dizzying highs and crushing lows of growing up.  It is a moving tale of love, loss, fear and hope—and the unforgettable friends that help us through life.

This movie is rated PG-13.

Here is the movie’s trailer. If you are reading this via e-mail you can see the trailer here, http://bit.ly/QrIdex.

I first read “perks” when I was a freshman in high school. It instantly became my favorite novel due to how relatable it was to my life. I had very high expectations when I heard that a film was being created. I was so glad to find out that the movie screenplay was written and the movie was directed by the author. Last night I took a bus from Philadelphia to New York City just to see the movie for the midnight premiere. The movie was perfect in every way and it met almost all of my expectations. The actors portrayed their characters very well, and it was amazing to see how the whole thing came together. And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.
