A Christmas Story 2 – Giveaway ends 10/28/12

Yes… you read that correctly. There is A Christmas Story, part 2. I was surpried too when I first learned about it.

My family watches A Christmas Story faithfully every holiday season. We usually watch it at least once before Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas Eve, all the way through until Christmas evening, we watch it several times during the A Christmas Story marathon on TBS. We always make sure to catch the ending scene at the Chinese restaurant when it’s aired for the last time. In a way it signifies that Christmas is over. It’s hard not to get a little sad.

A Christmas Story is a story about an adorable young boy name Ralphie who dreams of getting a Red Rider gun for Christmas. In A Christmas Story 2, Ralphie is all grown up and this time he’s looking for something bigger and better – a car!

Here is the trailer for A Christmas Story 2. If you are reading this via e-mail you can see the trailer here,

I know it’s not the original (let’s face it… nothing can touch the original), but it still looks like a fun movie. It’s being released on Blu-ray and DVD combo pack and Digital Download on October 30, 2012 – just in time for the holiday season. Look for the film where ever movies are sold.

Thanks to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment I have a copy of A Christmas Story 2 (Blu-ray combo pack) to give to a lucky reader.

This giveaway is open to US residents only and will end on October 28, 2012 at 12:01 AM (EST). The winner will be chosen at random using a random number generator from all eligible entries. The winner will be notified via e-mail and will have three days to respond or a new winner will be chosen.

  20. my family and i LOVE the movie, and like your family, we watch it a LOT throughout its broadcast on tv….as well as have a “movie night” watching it all together.
Our favorite memory that has evoked from watching that movie….every single year when it was on, my three daughters would ask~”Why don’t we ever get a cool present like the bunny suit?” To prove them that Santa listens…..one Christmas eve, about 5 years ago, I secretely made each of them a bunny suit.~~~~~I worked on it while they were at school…..and I’m talking COLLEGE! That Christmas eve, as we had our family gift exchange, I told them that I had gotten them somethinnig just from me and that it was on their beds, and that they were to go into their rooms to open it. I’m pretty sure that they thought it was something more personal like a nightgown ~~~ but seconds later the laughter from their bedrooms was priceless, and within minutes all three of my college girls were walking down the hallway in their bunny sutits! It was one of the best Christmas memories ever!!!
That Christmas we had more fun with those suits, and you wouldn’t believe how many of their friends had to try them on. It truly was a priceless Christmas memory that we we talk about always!!
