Bring the scents of th season into you home with Air Wick’s brand new National Park Collection scented oils

I know I have mentioned it on my site numerous times about how I LOVE scented things. From candles to hot oils and from eax tarts to room sprays… anything that makes my home smell lovely and inviting is great. I usually have something scented in my home at any given time. You should see the collection I have amassed over the years. My husband jokes that I need one salary alone to feed my “addiction” to things that smell nice and make my home smell good too.

My favorite kinds of scents are those related to the holidays and seasons. This time of year I look for scents like apples, pumpkins, spices and anything that would invoke images of Autumn leaves, chilly days and the holidays such as Halloween and Thanksgiving. Around Thanksgiving I start to use a lot of evergreen and balsam scents because I LOVE the scent of a real Christmas tree. I was able to find one product that smelled exactly like a Christmas tree years ago but they have since stopped making it. :-(

For those of you who, like me, want their home to have a lovely scent that reflects the season, I thought you would be interested in Air Wick’s NEW National Park Collection Scented Oils. They come in a plug in form. The scented oil is contained in a small glass bottle that attaches to the plugin. There is even a little switch on the top that allows you to control how little, or how much, scent you want released into the air.

Air Wick has partnered with the National Park Foundation to capture the spirit of our nation’s pristine treasures so you can enjoy the scents of fall in your home. Their Autumn/Fall fragrances include;

  • Acadia, Sweet Vanilla & Pumpkins
  • Shenandoah, Apple Harvest
  • Great Smoky Mountains, Warm Spice & Twilight
  • They even have a mystery scent. I know what it is but I’m not telling. :-)

Acadia is a state park in Maine and Shenandoah is part of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. I’m sure most people are already familiar with the Great Smoky Mountains.

You will need the Air Wick oil diffuser to use the oils. You can buy it separetly or soemtimes it comes as part of a starter kit.

To use simply insert a bottle of scented oil into the diffuser, set the level you want (high or low) and plug it into any wall outlet. That’s it! You can easily change between scents too. I do that so that my nose doesn’t become used to a scent. I try and change the oil every 3-4 days, or at the very least a week.

Of the new scents the Acadia with his sweet Vanilla scent and a touch of pumpkin is my favorite. My family’s too. My son requested I put it in his room for a while. It tends to lean a bit more towards Vanilla, which is why I think my husband likes it. He loves the scent of Vanilla. This scent really brings visions of colorful trees and chilly nights by the fire to mind.

Shenandoah’s Apple Harvest scent smells just like a warm apple pie! It gives the air in your home the fragrance of an apple pie warming in the oven. That is especially nice for people like me who can’t bake to save her life. Ha Ha.

The Great Smoky Mountain Warm Spice & Twilight scent doesn’t really come off as an Autumn scent. Don’t get me wrong, it’s lovely. But when I smell it I think of a garden in the evening – as if I’m taking a stroll through the garden as the sun is setting. It doesn’t put visions of Autumn in my head like the other two scents do. I still like this fragrance, and I’ve been using it (I rotate between them). Where as the other two are pefect for this time of year I think the Great Smoky Mountains Warm Spice & Twilight could be used year round.

I have had a chance to try the “Mystery Scent” and let me tell you it’s AWESOME! I don’t want to give it away but let’s just say that when I smell it I think about decorating the Christmas tree with my family and friends while a light snow gentley falls outside the window. :-)

If you plan on having a lot of company over the holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving…) why not pick up one of the Air Wicks National Park Collection Scented Oils to fill your home with the fragrence of fall. Not only is it inviting it also helps to set the mood.

Look for these scents and other Air Wick scents where ever air fresheners are sold. The scents are also available in candles and sprays in addition to the scented oils.
