When I think about Oreo cookies I think about delicious dark chocolate cookies with a sweet creamy filling. I’m one of those people who like to take one cookie off, eat the cream and then the cookies. Is that how YOU enjoy Oreos?
I see Oreos as a fun treat or snack. I don’t really see them as an ingredient in dessert. I have heard of people using crushed up Oreos to make a pie crust, or a topping on ice cream, but that is about it. Who knew that there are A LOT of mouth watering recipes you can create with Oreos as one of the main ingredients.
Check out the recipes on the Oreo site (click here). Oh my! They look so good that I want to lick my computer screen. 🙂
There are Oreo recipes for Halloween desserts, Thanksgiving desserts, Holiday desserts as well as everyday desserts that feature the beloved Oreo.
I was asked to participate in a fun campaign called Play up Dessert. FIVE lucky readers will the opportunity to make a holiday or seasonal dessert (recipes included) that incorporate everyone’s favorite cookie. Each winner will receive a Play Up Dessert Kit that features recipe cards, seasonal goodies and more. Of course they kits also include Oreos!
One of the lucky 5 winners will also have a chance to win $100! Only the five kit winners will be eligible for the $100 prize, so there is a 1 in 5 chance you could win!
Here is how it’s going to work. Please make sure you read this carefully.
Using the Rafflecopter widget (below) FIVE winners will be randomly chosen using either Rafflecopter or a random number generator. Those five winners will each receive October’s Play Up Dessert Kit. Within a week of reciving the kit each winner will be asked to make ONE of the recipes featured on the recipe cards they received. The winners will also need to submit a photo of their dessert to me to be eligible to win the $100 gift card.
Once I have the photos I will post them on either my site or Facebook and ask readers to pick their favorite. The winner will receive the $100.00 gift card.
I’ll be hosting another contest like this in November and December too so that you have more chances to win.
Please only enter if you are serious about making one of the desserts and submitting a photo of your creation (don’t worry, the photos will be shown anonymously). It’s so much more fun with everyone plays. 🙂
