I’m not kidding when I say you need tissues to watch this movie’s trailer. Trust me on that one. I’ve watched the trailer a few times and each time I feel my eyes well up with tears. I don’t know if it’s tears of sadness or tears of joy.
The Heart of Christmas is a true story based on the life of a little boy name Dax Locke.

Although the story it’s self is very sad I think the message is strong and important for us all to learn. We need to cherish every moment because we never know how many moments we have left with our loved ones. Make every moment count.
I also like the message about how this holiday season we should do what we can to make someone feel loved. Although that is something we should also do year round.

In 2010, singer/songwriter Matthew West asked his fans to send him their inspiring true stories so he could turn those stories into songs. Among the thousands of submissions he received, there were three separate letters about the Locke family and the community that came together to support them. Moved by the letters, Matthew wrote “One Last Christmas,” which inspired the filmmakers to share the story with an even wider audience. Premiering on GMC last December, The Heart of Christmas became the most-watched World Premiere Movie in the history of the network, drawing 3.6 million viewers.
