The older I get the more I am finding little quirks about my skin that I didn’t have a year or two ago. Where there once wasn’t wrinkles I’m starting to see little lines. And those annoying laugh lines around my mouth seem to get deeper and deeper with each passing day.
The wrinkles are hard enough to deal with. The ruddy complexion, uneven skin tone, dry patches and age spots make it even harder to grow old gracefully.
I’m all for products that help your skin stay healthy and to promote a more youthful appearance. I don’t think I would ever go for cosmetic surgery – but never say never. If money wasn’t an issue I’m sure I’d have some work done eventually.
I have tried many products over the years to help my skin look and feel better. They have all been topical products that you apply to the skin. What if I told you that you can promote youthful skin by drinking something? Even better – drinking chocolate.
There is a product on the market called Beauty Foods. Beauty Foods is a hot chocolate blend that you can enjoy every night before bed to help improve the quality of your skin. Not only that it helps your skin, hair and nails AND helps promote a better sleep.
Here is a little more information about Beauty Foods.
Beauty Foods is a revolutionary new night time drink that promotes youthful skin and sound sleep in a delicious, only 30-calorie beverage available in chocolate, vanilla and chocolate chai flavors. The unique collagen in the drink helps skin, hair and nails while the bio-available forms of AlphaWave L-Theanine and AlphaWave Calming Blend help relax and put you to sleep. Celebrities, luxury spas and high-end Beverly Hills retailers love Beauty Foods and now you can too.
The drink is actually called Nightly Beauty. It’s available in three different flavors – Chocolate Bliss, Vanilla Dream and Chocolate-Chai Renewal. I’m a choc-o-holic so I was happy to dry the Chocolate Bliss flavor.
Preparing Nightly Beauty is no different than a regular hot chocolate. Simply pour the packet into a mug, add some hot milk, mix and enjoy. I can’t really drink milk that much (sometimes it upsets my stomach). I tried Nightly Beauty with water too and found that it’s much more enjoyable with milk. It doesn’t taste good mixed with hot water.
My mom used to always make me warm milk to help me relax and fall asleep on those nights when I had a hard time falling to sleep.
As far as hot chocolate is concerned the Chocolate Bliss is very tasty. It has just the right amount of chocolate. It’s not too sweet either. I have been tempted to toss in a marshmallow a few times.
I had my box of Chocolate Bliss for a few weeks but it’s hard to drink hot chocolate when it’s warm. Maybe that is just me. I consider hot beverages more of a cold weather treat.
As far as noticing any improvement in my skin, it’s hard to say. A combination of stressful events in my life (renovating our condo, having our condo on the market, Hurricane Sandy…) makes me look more haggard then usual. Under different circumstances I would be able to give you my honest thoughts on the “beauty” aspect of Nightly Beauty. I don’t want to give feedback on it right now since I don’t think it would be a fair analysis of the product. Once things settled down I’m sure I can give a much more accurate review.
When it comes to sleeping better I do notice a difference with Nightly Beauty. On those nights when I am feeling especially stressed out the Chocolate Bliss has been a warm welcome to my nightly routine. I do find drinking it very soothing and relaxing. I tend to fall asleep easier and feel more rested in the morning. I don’t feel groggy or “out of it” like I do with other sleep aids.
I wouldn’t even consider this a sleep aid, per say. I think it’s more of a product that relaxes you and puts your mind in a better place so that you can drift off to sleep a lot easier.
So far I am very pleased with the product. It tastes great (no after taste either), it works well and I really enjoy it. The only “downside” I can think of is that it’s not readily available (you have to order it online) and it’s a bit pricey. A box of 14 single serving packets will cost you $49.99. Refills with cost you a bit less. They also have an autoship option so you can receive the product automatically each month.
Nightly Beauty would make a great gift, especially for a new mom (or a baby shower gift). It would also make a great stocking stuffer for the holidays.
