Shop for the seasons hottest toys and save $$$ at Walmart (Giveaway ends 11/21/12)

I am very grateful that I have plenty of nieces, nephews and friends with small children to shop for. I think it’s fun to shop for children’s toys. I’m just a bit kid at heart. Shopping for teens is now as fun.

My husband and I have 17 nieces and nephews to shop for on his side of the family and 3 on my side of the family. That is not including our friend’s little girl. I used to baby sit her when she was a baby and we’ve known her all her life so in a way she feels like family to us too.

We stop buying for the nieces and nephews when they graduate high school. With so many kids its impossible to buy for. We did pulling names from a hat but that ended up getting too confusing. So we stick to buying gifts for the younger kids (the older ones rather have gift cards).

I know it’s crazy but I look forward to learning what the season’s top toys are. It’s fun to see how times have changed since I was young. Toys have come a long way since then.

I love shopping for toys at Walmart. Not only do they have the seasons hottest toys, but they also carry them at very competitive prices. They offer thousands of toys from top brands all season long at a low price, both online and in stores.

I’m sure that many people know that Walmart offers a layaway program. But did you know that if you put a toy on layaway and Walmart rolls back the price later in the season, Walmart will honor the rolled-back price if it is in effect at the time of final payment. Not only that Walmart will match competitor pricing during checkout for layaway products through its ad match policy.

There is a $5.00 fee to put toys on layaway, however once your completed your layaway payments Walmart will refund the $5 layaway open fee on a Walmart gift card.

When you have a lot of kids to shop for having a layaway program is a must have.

Another great thing about shopping for this seasons “must have” toys is that Walmart has kicked off a special savings program called “Toyland Tuesday”. Every Tuesday through Christmas you can find even bigger savings on the toys your children have on their wish list. I have the Walmart website bookmarked on my computer and scheduled my phone to remind me to check every Tuesday for which toys will have special pricing. There are a few toys I would like to pick up for  nieces and nephews and I’m hoping they go on sale.

Walmart has it all including Furby, Leapfrog LeapPad 2, Power Wheels Dune Racer Ride-On and the Monster High High School Playsets. Walmart and Walmart.com have stocked their toy shelves with a variety of toys to meet every kid’s wish list.

My nephew (on my side of the family) is OBSESSED with Spiderman and Batman. He’s always been crazy about them, even when he was a a toddler.

Walmart has a HUGE 30″ Batman figure that I must get for my nephew. I saw in another store about a month ago and the moment I laid eyes on it I knew I had to get it for my nephew. It’s HUGE! I love it.

My nephew also loves Spiderman. I also know that he loves to play on the computer. Check out this Spiderman “laptop” that I found at Walmart.com. It’s a Lexibook Spiderman Educational Laptop. It has 60 activities, teaches letters, numbers, math, colors and logic (to name a few). It also plays music. Best of all it’s all about Spiderman so he’s there with each activity your child plays.

Furby is a super hot toy this season. I have to laugh about that. Furby was a hot toy back when I was a teenager. I used to have a Furby. Too bad I didn’t keep it. Although the new Furby does A LOT more than the one I had. The new Furby is very high-tech compared to the Furby from 20+ years ago.

Walmart carries Furby in a variety of colors. They have one that is a reddish-orange color. I considered getting that for my nephew too and telling him it was a Spiderman Furby because of it’s red color. :-)

My 15 year old wants a Furby. I have no idea why. She says they are cute and she’s curious to know what you can do with them. I haven’t had a chance to play around with the new Furby yet so I’m not a 100% sure what they do.

I also love buying gifts for my friend’s daughter. I used to baby sit her when she was a baby. We’ve watched her grow up. She’s like a part of our family.

Our friend’s daughter, “A” (I don’t want to reveal her real name for safety reasons) LOVES anything and everything that has to do with Princesses. What little girl doesn’t? LOL!

I LOVE Fisher Price Little People. I collect them. I even have the ones I played with when I was little (the wooden ones!).

Have you seen the Princess and Super Hero Fisher Price Little People sets? They are SO CUTE!

I would like to get “A” the Fisher Price Little People Disney Princess Songs Palace Play Set. It’s one of this years top toys too. Walmart has the play set and several smaller sets too.

I already have a few things in my shopping cart. I’m just waiting until November 15th when my hubby gets paid again (he gets paid the 15th and last day of each month). That will give me time to do some more shopping at Walmart and pick up other toys from the kid’s wish lists. I also want to see what special Walmart has on “Toyland Tuesday”.

I am also getting FREE SHIPPING for the items in my cart too. I love free shipping. It really saves A LOT of money when shopping for holiday gifts online.

Items in my Walmart.com shopping cart so far.
