“Recipe for Caring” Celebrity Chef Challenge from Challenge Butter (Giveaway ends 1/7/13)

Challenge Butter Recipe for Caring

The holiday season is not only a time to create special memories with family and friends, and shop for the greatest gifts for your loved ones. It’s also about great food and good times.

I know a lot of people who go all out during the holiday season between cooking and baking. I cannot wait until we have a bigger home so I have more counter space so I can bake insane amounts of cookies, plus cakes and other baked goods. Currently I am a horrible baker, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want to keep giving it my all in hopes that I can FINALLY become an excellent baker.

There are plenty of other recipes I am really anxious to try. I just found a few on Pinterest this morning that I am looking forward to trying. One is for pancakes made in a cupcake pan and the other is for an oatmeal breakfast muffin which I think would be great for my kids, especially because it’s an “on-the-run” breakfast idea.

The holiday season also brings out our charitable sides. This is the time of year that many people think about those who are less fortunate. This time of year many charities are overwhelmed and overjoyed by the pouring of support, donations and volunteering. Of course these same charities need all of these things year round too, so I hope you will consider continuing to support your favorite charities long after your holiday decorations are put away.

Challenge Butter has a special contest going on that combines cooking and charities – plus the opportunity for YOU to win $$$. It’s a win-win-win situation all around.

Challenge Butter Recipe Challenge

The contest is called “Recipe for Caring” Celebrity Chef Challenge. Three celebrity chefs – Gale Gand, Jon Ashton and Avery Pursell – have made exclusive recipes for the Recipe for Caring Challenge. You can win cash and prizes simply by voting on your favorite recipe. You can’t get any easier then that. , and you and your readers have the chance to win just for voting on your favorite!

There is over $5,000 in CASH and prizes for winning voters plus Challenge Butter will also donate $10,000 to 3 charities at the end of the promotion.

I’ve checked out the recipes. Oh my! They look good. The recipes include Coconut Pecan Butter Crunch Cookies, Savory Olive & Parmesan Scones and Apple Pie with Hot Buttered Rum Sauce. I honestly cannot say which one I would vote for because each one of them look so good. Plus they seem easy enough to make. None of them require ingredients that are not fairly easy to come by. Many of which are already pantry staples.

Each chef is playing for a specific charity. You can learn more about each charity along side the chef’s recipe. The chef whose recipe wins the contest will received a $5,000 donation to their charity. The other two chefs will each win $2,500 towards their charities. So everyone wins.

Voters (YOU!) will also be selected to win $5,000 in cash and prizes, and all you have to do is simply vote for your favorite recipe.

All you need to do is enter you first name, e-mail address and zip code. No other personal information is required.
