A fun & fashionable way to carry your iPhone

I am missing some girly-girly genes. I guess I was off playing baseball or making mud pies when they handed those out. Ha Ha.

I was a typical “Tom Boy” growing up. I did play with Barbies, but I also enjoyed playing with my Tonka trucks (the cool metal ones) and my G.I. Joe doll. I would also rather go hunt snake eggs or dig up cow bones (our home was located where a farm used to be) then have tea parties and pretend to be a pretty princess.

Fast forward 30+ years. While I am no longer a Tom Boy in the true sense of the definition, I still lack interest in typical girly-girl things. For example, I own three pair of shoes – sneakers, tennis shoes and flats. I couldn’t care less if they don’t match what I’m wearing. I also don’t mind going out of the house with my hair in a ponytail and no make up on. I am also not big into purses. I DO have several which I will use on special occasions or if I’m going out somewhere, but most of the time I have no use for a bag or purse. In fact I will just run around with my wallet in one hand and my cellphone in another.

I finally have something that allows me to carry both my iPhone, license, a few cards and some cash in a small – yet fashionable – way. It’s an iPhone (4/4S) Leather Wristlet from BellaVita. A wristlet is a small purse that you can carry from a strap that goes around your wrist, or hold it in your hand. I tend to lose things so I rather keep the strap around my wrist just to be on the safe side.

BellaVita sent me one of their iPhone wristlets to review. Right away I was very impressed because the wristlet arrived in a beautiful keepsake box that even tied closed with a lovely ribbon. They could have easily stuffed the wristlet into a baggie and sent it on it’s way. Instead they placed it in a keepsake box filled with matching paper filling to protect the case during it’s travels to your door step.

On one side of the wristlet is the space for your iPhone. It easily slides in from the inside and there is a small leather strap that tucks in behind it to hold it in place. There are necessary cut outs for your home button, speaker and on the opposite side a hole for your camera.

On the other side of the wristlet is a slot for credit/debit cards, a window slot for your driver’s license and a spot on the side where you can slip in some cash.

Attached to the wristlet is a strap that fits easily over your hand (I have thick wrists and it fits perfectly fine on my hand too).

The wristlet closes with a leather strap with a snap so that everything stay safe inside.

For someone like me who doesn’t care much for lugging around a bag or a purse this wristlet is perfect. If you simply want something that you can grab and take with you when you run errands the wristlet is also a great idea. It doubles as a wallet and/or cell phone case so you can keep it in your favorite purse and use it like you would a wallet or cellphone case. It’s really an ingenious idea.

The leather wristlet is available in many fashion colors including basic black, chocolate brown, purple, pink and other colors that are sure to match with your all your fashions. I opted for the chocolate brown (Vita Cioccolato on their website).

The wristlets are very well made and sturdy. After all, they are made of leather. Even the clip that attaches the wrist strap is made very well and won’t easily come undone.

The BellaVita Leather Wristlet iPhone 4/4S case sells for $65 on the BellaVita website, BellaVitaUSA.com. You may also want to check out their contest which runs through February.
