Escape from Planet Earth Giveaway (ends 2/3/12)

Escape from Planet Earth

Have you heard about the new film, Escape from Planet Earth? I’ve only seen the trailer but it looks really funny.

Here is the film’s synopsis;

The 3D animated family comedy catapults moviegoers to planet Baab where admired astronaut Scorch Supernova (Brendan Fraser) is a national hero to the blue alien population.  A master of daring rescues, Scorch pulls off astonishing feats with the quiet aid of his nerdy, by-the-rules brother, Gary (Rob Corddry), head of mission control at BASA.  When BASA’s no-nonsense chief Lena (Jessica Alba) informs the brothers of an SOS from a notoriously dangerous planet, Scorch rejects Gary’s warnings and bounds off for yet another exciting mission.  But when Scorch finds himself caught in a fiendish trap set by the evil Shanker (William Shatner) it’s up to scrawny, risk-averse Gary to do the real rescuing.  As the interplanetary stakes rise to new heights, Gary is left to save his brother, his planet, his beloved wife Kira (Sarah Jessica Parker) and their adventure-hungry son Kip (Jonathan Morgan Heit).

I found the movie’s trailer. If you are reading this via e-mail you can see the trailer here, http://bit.ly/WgA5j5.

My apologies for the commercial in the video. I tired to find one without a commercials.

You can also learn more about the move on it’s official website, www.EscapeEarthMovie.com. There you can find videos, photos, character information, games and more.

In addition to the website there is also a FREE Escape from Planet Earth movie app, available for both iOs (http://bit.ly/EscapeFromPlanetEarthiTunesFS) and for Android (http://bit.ly/EscapefromPlanetEarthAndroidFS). I downloaded the app (iOs). There you’ll find the movie’s trailer, link to the Escape from Planet Earth game (free) and a fun “photo bomb” section where you can snap a photo (or upoad one you have on your phone) and insert one of the characters into the photo with you.

Escape from Planet Earth app

Another nice feature of the app is the Escape from Planet Earth story book. Your child can either read the story themselves or have the app read it for them. It’s rather cute. I let it run automatically and listened to half the book already. It’s worth checking out, especially because it’s a free app.

You can also keep up to date on the movie on their film’s Facebook page.

Look for Escape from Planet Earth in a movie theater near you on Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2013.

To help get you excited about the film’s release I have an Escape from Planet Earth prize package for a lucky reader. The prize includes a $25.00 Visa Gift Card plus Escape from Planet Earth “movie swag”. I’m not 100% sure what the swag is at this moment but I believe it’s a coloring book, backpack clip, temporary tattoos and other goodies.

This giveaway is open to US residents only and will end on February 3, 2013 at 11:59 PM (EST). The winner will be chosen at random using  a random number generator from all eligible entries. The winner will be notified via e-mail and will have three days to reply or a new winner will be chosen.

  1. Jim Nichols says:

I don’t like this contest app, it wants to install additional apps for facebook & twitter in order to enter.

  2. I like this app, except for the constantly having to fill out the form saying you subscribe by email(when you already do). I usually have fewer problems than with RC. For example, for the previous two days, RC was accepting entries, but not saving them. I am really upset about that. I prefer this app.

  3. I prefer Rafflecopter, but Giveaway Tools is a close second.

  4. I prefer the Giveaway Tools widget – easier to enter, less hiccups

  5. Lisa Brown says:

I love Giveaway Tools widget. Easier to use, never any issues with it.

  6. I prefer to use Rafflecopter

    I like Rafflecopter !

I accidentally clicked “Post A Tweet” to Submit before I got the chance to Post it. I cannot edit. since it still says “Click To Begin” on that one, will it be considered as one I optionally decided to skip? Hope so…. Hope this makes sense!
