Walk into any retail store right now and they are already set up for Valentines day. In fact I snapped a picture of SpongeBob Valentine’s Day cards at Toys R Us weeks ago. Nothing like rushing the holidays. Sigh…
Valentine’s Day is coming up. For some people its a chance to shower their special someone with love, hugs and kisses. For others Valentine’s Day is not as exciting (trust me, I remember being single on Valentine’s Day).
My husband went on our first date on Ground Hog’s Day (Feb. 2nd). We tend to combine our First Date Anniversary with Valentine’s Day. Not that we do much or splurge on fancy gifts, but we do try and do something special and give each other small token gifts.
If you are looking for a beautiful gift to give someone special this year why not check out the beautiful customized photo jewelry available at Pictures On Gold. Not only can they laser engrave your special message, they can also laser engrave photos right on to the jewelry. When the image is laser engraved it’s permanent and won’t come off.
Remember years ago if you had one of those lockets and you wanted to put the image of your sweetheart in it you had to find an itty bitty picture, or print out a tiny photo and trim it to fit? With Pictures on Gold you can have your favorite image laser engraved in the locket and not have to worry about looking for a tiny photo. Simply upload the image you want to use and Pictures on Gold will do the rest.
Pictures on Gold sent me one of their new Valentine’s Day Photo Lockets. It’s a Sterling Silver Heart “Valentine” Photo Locket with an 18″ Sterling Silver Box Chain. The outside features beautiful red roses. The inside houses a photo of your special someone (or someones) and your special message, both laser engraved into the locket.
I opted to use my wedding photo. There is only one wedding photo. We eloped and there is only one photo from when we took our vows. I used that photo (even if my hubby and I no longer look that way). For the personalization I had our names laser engraved in it (opposite from the laser engraved photo), our wedding date and the word “Forever”.
Here is my locket. Sadly my photos do not do the locket justice. I think the flash ruins the image. It’s much nicer in person. I also blocked out my husband’s name and our wedding anniversary date to protect our privacy.
The flash makes odd lines appear in the laser photo and laser engraved text. When you see it in person you don’t see those odd lines. As I mentioned previously, I think the flash brought those lines out. With the naked eye they are not there.
Here are few more examples of photos to give you a better idea.
This photo locket would make a very special gift, not only for your one and only true love, but also for a parent or grandparent.
