If you read my blog on a regular basis you’ll know that I am a fan of air freshners and candles. I love my home to smell warm and inviting. I also love the ambiance that candles create.
I do have to be careful about what scented products I use in my home because I have an asthmatic cat with allergies. So far only one scented product I have used in the past has caused her some irritation (I no longer use that product).
I’m a fan of Air Wick products. That is why I was excited when I was sent one of their new scented candles for free to review. It’s a candle from their Black Edition Color Changing Candles.
The Air Wick Black Edition Color Changing Candles change color when they are lit. The glass the candle sits in is black with the exception of a cool design. When the candle is lit and the wax changes color it also changes the color of the design featured on the candle holder.
To give you a better idea of what I am talking about here are a few photos from my Black Edition Color Changing Candle (I’m sorry that the pictures are not so great).
I tried to keep the camera steady so you can see how the design changes colors. The color changes after a few seconds. It glows from a deep orange to a beautiful blue and several colors in between.
The candle comes with different designs/patterns. The design is featured on two sides of the candle.
I have yet to figure out how the candle changes color. It’s the weirdest thing. As soon as a lit match approaches the candle it starts to change color, even if the wick hasn’t been ignited yet. Perhaps it has something to do with the heat (heat sensitive)?
These candles really add ambiance to your home. Black matches any decor and the fact that the candle changes to just about every color of the rainbow its sure to fit in nicely in any room.
The candle is easy to light and lasts for up to 30 hours so you’ll be able to enjoy your candle for a long time.
The candle does come scented but I honestly don’t smell the scent at all, whether it’s lit or I’m smelling an unlit candle up close. That is fine with me. I think the candle’s appeal has more to do with the ever changing colorful design than it does the scent.
I can only seem to find the Black Edition candle sold at Walmart.
