I’m not a fan of cleaning. I have mentioned that several times on my blog. It’s not that I don’t like a clean home – I DO! I just don’t like doing things like scrubbing the toilet and dusting around knick knacks (which is very time consuming). Even though we have a small home it still takes me the entire day to scrub our home from top to bottom. The biggest time consumers are the kitchen and bathroom.
I try and do a deep cleaning once a week and throughout the week I do “touch ups” (dust here, vacuum there…). Spending at least 10-15 minutes per day doing touch up cleaning here and there helps to minimize the amount of work I need to do when I deep clean our place.
One of the greatest inventions (in my opinion) are the Swiffer Dusters. I ♥ Swiffer Dusters! I use them every day. In fact I have a few of them around my home so I always have one handy whenever I need to do a quick dusting. With five dogs and a cat (dander) and the fact that our condo over looks the parking lot (dust) and soon the tree in front of our balcony will bloom (pollen) I’m always dusting.
What I love most about the Swiffer Dusters is that they help me dust quickly, easily and efficiently. Their size and shape allow me to move round objects and get between objects too. I especially love the Swiffer Duster Extender which allows me to reach places I can’t normally reach, like the ceiling fans, pictures on the wall and the walls themselves (it’s always a good idea to dust the walls from time to time). Prior to using the Swiffer Duster Extender I either had to leave the “higher up” things to my husband or use a chair to stand on. I don’t like to stand on chairs. I always worry about a falling. With the extender I have no worries.
Now that it’s Spring time (although you wouldn’t know if with the freezing cold temperatures we’ve been having) many people get bit by the Spring Cleaning Bug. I know I’m one of them. As soon as the weather gets nicer and gray skies have been replace with blue skies and sunshine, I want to purge our home of unnecessary “stuff”, open up all the windows and let whatever fresh air I can in, and clean, clean, clean. As much as I hate cleaning, nothing compares to the feeling you have when you know that your home is truly clean.
When Swiffer started adding the scent of Febreze to their products I was automatically hooked. I love Febreze and use it daily just like I do my Swiffer Dusters. Now Swiffer has done it again by adding the fresh scent of Gain to their products. In fact, I see the even Febreze comes in the Gain scent too.
Gain is a very popular scent among consumers. I think it’s also one of the most recognizable scents. Although Gain is available on other scents, the classic, original scent is usually most people’s favorite.
I have to admit that I love the scent too. So much so the moment I received some sample Swiffer products with the Gain scent I opened up the box of Swiffer Dusters and swapped out my current dusters with the new Gain scented dusters and started to dust some areas around my living room. Yes… the person who hates to clean WILLINGLY (and anxiously too I might add) cleaned (dusted) just to experience the Gain scent.
The Dusters don’t necessarily make your home smell like Gain, but they do give you the Gain scent as you are dusting. It’s pleasant scent makes dusting less of a chore and lifts your spirits as you clean. It’s a delightful, “happy”, clean scent.
The Swiffer Wet Cloths and Swiffer WetJet Solution Mop both have Gain scented products too. The scent tends to stick around a bit longer with the wet products.
Swiffer with Gain is available in the following products;
Swiffer Dry Cloths with Gain scent – Great for dry mopping the floor to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. We’ve even used them to dust with.
Swiffer Wet Cloths with Gain scent – Leaves your home smelling like Gain as it dries.
Swiffer 180° Dusters with Gain scent – My #1 favorite cleaning product. I can’t clean without my Swiffer Duster!
Swiffer WetJet Solution with Gain scent – Leaves your home smelling like Gain as it dries too, just like the Wet Cloths. I only wish that the WetJet offered reusable pads (same solution, just reusable pads).
Look for all the Swiffer with Gain products where ever Swiffer products are sold (Walmart, Target, grocery store…).
