When was the first time you were allowed to wear make up? For me it was 16 years old. My mom was VERY strict about it too. No make up until I was 16 and no dating until I was 18.
Even though mom had her rules that doesn’t mean that I didn’t wear make up. I admit that I would put on make up at school and wash it off before I got home. I started out with COVERGIRL face powder. Eventually it moved on to mascara. But that was about it. It wasn’t until I was 16 that I started to experiment with blush, eye shadow and foundation.
COVERGIRL was the first brand of make up I ever used. It’s also my number one choice today. Not only do I like COVERGIRL products I also find them to be more “budget friendly” compared to other cosmetics.
With this being summer time wearing make up is not a top priority for me. I like to keep it simple because summer time can be so hot. I tend to use just mascara, eyeliner and a little face powder.

One of my favorite COVERGIRL products is their Lash Blast Mascara. COVERGIRL sent me some products to sample including their Flamed Out Mascara. I must say, I really like the Flamed Out Mascara. I still prefer the Lash Blast Mascara, but the Flamed Out Mascara is really good too. I like the Flamed Out brush. I actually find it easier to put mascara on my bottom lashes with this brush. It’s wide on the ends and thinner in the middle allowing me to brush just about any lash, big or small, top or bottom.
For me mascara goes hand-in-hand with eyeliner. In fact I’ll forgo wearing mascara over eyeliner. As long as I have a little eyeliner I’m good to go.
COVERGIRL sent me one of their Ink It! eyeliners and I’m in love! The precision point allows me to apply the eyeliner exactly where I need it. It also stays on all day long. It doesn’t smudge or wear off like other eyeliners do. Plus it washes off very easily.
You can easily smudge the Ink It! eyeliner too if you want that “smokey” eye look.
