Last year when I was out in LA for the Frankenweenie press junket I was lucky enough to see some concept art for a new animated film that Walt Disney Animation Studios was working on. The film is called Frozen. From what I saw it looked like it was going to be a spectacular film.
I am thrilled to be able to share the official trailer for the film. It’s great to see the concept artwork that I saw last year finally come to life.
Check out the trailer.
Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
The film is directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf’s Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, “Wreck-It Ralph”), who also wrote the screenplay. It is produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”). Featuring original songs from Tony® winner Robert Lopez (“The Book of Mormon,” “Avenue Q”) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit,” “Winnie the Pooh”), and an original score by Christophe Beck (“The Muppets,” Oscar®-winning short “Paperman”),
“Frozen” hits theaters in 3D on Nov. 27, 2013.
The film looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, not to mention spectacular realistic animation that will make you feel like you are right there in the middle of the action.
If you would like to keep up to date on the film or learn more about it visit the official website, www.Disney.com/Frozen. You can also check out the film on Facebook and Walt Disney Animation on Twitter.
What do you think about the film? Do you think you are going to see it when it’s out in theaters this Thanksgiving?
